I can't save jpeg's

Does anybody know why I can't save pictures in jpeg format? Everytime I right click on a picture and choose save as, the only option is bitmap-bmp format. I used to be able to save jpeg's until I installed photoshop. I can't find any settings to change in Control Panel or the photoshop program. Anybody have any ideas?

quite a predicament you got there

this sort of thing has never happened to me but:
check in your folder options if the filetype is listed in your system still. ...in my example my jpegs are recognized but if yours arnt you can create one and point the extension to the programs that open/use it
if that doesnt work uninstall photoshop maybe that will correct it

ok im not particularly good with computers and i dont even know what this next stuff is but maybe it will help.. go into your advanced settings in your folder options and set your stuff to match mine

Thanks for your help guys. I don't know what I did but it works now. I just tried saving the same pics as earlier and now it works. I don't even know what caused it or fixed it, will I ever be able to figure out these damn personal confusers.

another way: forget IE change to Firefox

Well, deleting my temporary internet folder worked and now I can once again save jpegs. I don't have the slightest idea why it worked though. Why would it prevent me from saving jpegs in the first place? What do you guys & gals have for settings in your temp folder? Mine used to be at 3500 MB and I just changed it to 128 MB.

ie sucks especially with big momahosting links firefox is faster and more secure.
