Now seriously, suicide notes are more a Hollywood thing than they are reality. RARELY do people who commit suicide actually leave notes. When you think about it, suicide is a VERY impulsive act. When one does something on an impulse....are they really going to take the time to write a note before hand? Not likely. Like I said, in reality....there is almost NEVER a suicide note left behind.

Besides, who would REALLY come on here of all places to announce that they planned on killing themselves if they were actually SERIOUS? Ha ha ha!

All I can say is that, from friends and acquaintances who are either currently working in, or worked in law enforcement for years.....that have had a lot of 1st hand experience with suicides.....rarely do people who actually succeed in committing suicide leave a note behind. Usually in the cases where there is a note (which is quite rare from, like I said, what I've been told by law enforcement professionals), it's the cases where there wasn't as overt an attempt (like taking pills vs. shooting yourself) or any attempt at all actually, and it is usually in cases where it is really a cry/plea for attention...as opposed to a serious comtemplation of killing one's self. Usually in cases where someone is serious about killing themselves (in the case of a male), they usually just shoot themselves in a last impulsive act, and do not actually leave a note. Reasonably speaking though, if you are acting impulsively and irrationally (which actually killing yourself is both), it seems unlikely that you would actually leave a note......especially if it is an act based upon feeling bad or depressed.....as opposed to that you are dying and in physical pain, or something like that. Of course I'm not saying that it never happens.....just that it is rare....and certainly not as common as Hollywood would have us believe.

Though, like I'm going by is what I was told by friends and acquaintances in the field and/or what I was taught in my criminal justice courses in college. I don't actually have any 1st hand knowledge of actual suicides, nor have I ever dealt with one.

If you do not have an individual in your life you can turn to with these issues there are plenty of organisations that offer help.
Seek them out!!!

I think it's time this thread was closed. If the OP was actually suicidal, and did actually commit the act, this thread is a bit of an abomination. Obviously the OP knew what to expect when posting here, but now it may be time to shut it down.

Or people can continue to make suicide jokes. Both options suck in some way.
