I'm glad I saw this thread as I was considering starting one myself using the exact link you provided. The main difference would've been the title. Yours is "I wish I was 14," mine was going to be "Female Sexual Predators." Guess that demonstrates how I have a different opinion on the subject! lol
There is most certainly a double standard, and yes, I believe to a certain extent it's justified, as I think most of us would agree that those years are very different for boys as opposed to girls. However, there is what I'd call a "normal" progression towards adulthood, and there's no doubt in my mind that this kid's gotten a heavily distorted version of what constitutes love, sex, and relationships by what's happened to him, and that it will adversely affect him in any relationships he has with women in the future. I think the people who see this story and say "wow, cool" are confusing their schoolboy fantasies with what's best for one in the real world. The truth is, some fantasies are best left as fiction. I don't doubt that 99% of the members here will disagree with my stance on this issue, but's that's OK.... I'm used to it!
BTW, the question I was going to ask on a FSP thread was, "Doesn't it seem like women abusing boys (and yes, it
is abuse) is on the rise, or is the subject simply getting more news coverage than it may have in the past? What's the cause for this? I have some ideas myself but was wondering what others might think.
