If A Racist Denies They're A Racist, Does That Make It So?

Hot Mega

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
Exactly.
Obama is anti-American and a racist.

I've heard it before. From Black Panthers, a guy on MTV's Real World, rappers, and so on. People that say they haven't heard it are either willfully ignorant and ignore it when people say it, or they are lying.

Thank you! The thought process is more apparent than some people would rather believe.

Anyone can be a racist no matter what color they are. And NO.......this doesn't exclude blacks.

Both of you are making arguments against a case that hasn't been made in the thread. Whoop-d-do....you guys agree on a fairly obvious position that has little to do with this thread.:jump:

well I asked everyone here. There are black members on this board. Om3ga is apparently black and all I'm getting from him is anger. Still no solid good answer like I asked for on the first page!

Wrong. 'Twas too....You either didn't understand what it meant or ignored it.

In case you don't understand what that means, many words don't mean much until the context and connotation is learned.

For example, Carroll O'Conner has said racist slurs in his life...The context however, was him playing a racist on a tv show. The fictional character "Archie Bunker" was the racist, not Carroll O'Conner.

An example of connotation; Abe Lincoln coined the expression Michigander in a negative connotation in reference to people of the state of Michigan. Many Michiganians (the correct term for people of Michigan) routinely use the term Michigander to describe themselves without deference to the original connotation.

Hope that helps.:2 cents:

I have not been reading all the posts in this thread, so excuse me if my comment is out of line...

But something I find upsetting beyond belief is when a so called discriminated minority discriminates against another group of people. We should know better!!! I see it happening all the time, blacks discriminating hispanics, hispanics discriminating asians, asians discriminating X group of people and vice-versa. And if we include LGBT (lesbian, gay, bi, transgender) people as well, it is incredible how much discrimination it is experienced much more from colored people in real life than by white people, and of course there is discrimination from LGBT people towards other groups as well. It's sickening!

I think it's very hypocritical to whine about discrimination, and then turn around and do the same to other people because they don't fit in your group. I don't think things are ever going to change if this doesn't stop. :2 cents:

I think that is probably the best quote in the thread, 10000% correct.

Yes, I bribed and cheated to get this far
My favorite expression that sums up the absurdity of racism/broad generalizations about large groups of people:

"All Indians walk Indian style (I.E., single file).

I know because that's how the one I saw was walking."

So Rush shouldn't be allowed to buy the Rams because he's a "racist" or because his politics don't jive with Sharpton and Jackson?

this is too funny,,,,,,,ridiculous is a better word..........hypocrital even better.

1- if he's got the money he can buy whatever the hell he wants
now the black dems are gonna start saying who can and cant buy what?
Sharpton & Jackson: reasons 123-124/1,000,000,000 why i'm not a democrat.

2- listened to rush for years, never heard him make one racist comment, unlike sharpy and jesse who I've never heard make one non racist comment.

Man , the usa sure has become one fucked up place, ask yourselves why.
a sad thing is that in the future, most americans alive wont have any memories of when things were normal.

Rush has a nice, phat racist example from his disasterous stint (which ABC shithead thought hiring him for MNF was a good idea, anyway?) on MNF, you know that whole Donovan McNabb and white media and protection? 'Member that?

I'm sure a simple google search would yield plent Rush/Racist/Radio results...:dunno:

I have no doubt that Rush Limbaugh believes in a white power structure to America (White people make the rules, everyone else follows or leaves)

I remember the whole deal when Rush commented on McNabb.

First of all, doesn't ANYONE have a right to think McNabb is overrated? What's so racist about that?

Furthermore, if you listen to the comment, Rush was talking more about the media than about McNabb.

The problem is that the left leaning media was just waiting for Rush to discuss anything political. This was a comment about race, but I don't see at all how this was a "racist" comment.

Personally, I think McNabb has been one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL during his career, but if someone else thinks he is overrated, that is their right - even if that person is a conservative, white, Republican.
