YES! Everyone I have ever talked to about those jerseys love them! The old school Rams jerseys were bad ass. I wonder how hard it would be for me to get a Deacon Jones or Merlin Olsen jersey? Hell, I would like to get both if I could.

Tell me about it. I used to subscribe to eBay alerts for a Warner (my favorite player of all time) but I gave up. Those jerseys are mad pricey if they ever show up on the 'Bay. I think it was the last year they played in those jerseys was when Warner shocked the world from grociery stocker to world champion that year (2001).

What if the worlds major soccer leagues had extensive revenue sharing and a salary cap and floor for the integrity of the sport and fair athletic competition, and three or four teams, if not even less, couldn't just buy their wins and dominate almost perpetually because of it?

Most soccer teams in Europe have nicknames. Manchester United are The Red Devils

Taht's true, nicknames, given by the fans or the medias. And most these nicknames are based on facts about the team history, the place where the team got founded, the people wich foundede it or simply the jerseyu colours.

Example : Arsenal players are nicknames "The Gunners" because the club has been created by the Royal Arsenal workers. By the time the team was created, the Royl Arsenal was an explosive factory + an amunition laboratory + gun foundry. So the nickname "Gunner" makes sense.

Liverpool are nicknamed the Reds, not difficult to understand why.
M. United are called the Red Devils not to be mistaken with Liverpool.

Now, if somone can explain me that the word "Giants" in "New York Giants" is some kind of reference to the past, I'm listening...

Yeah. It's only going to take a matter of seconds for the big clubs to turn UEFA's fair play revenue strategy into swiss cheese. As for integrity, there will never be such a thing in most professional or even university level sports on any continent.

This is also true for sports team here in America. The Pittsburgh Steelers got their name because the city is historically known for its steel industry hence the name Steelers. The San Francisco 49ers got their name because in 1849 gold was found near San Fran and those who came to the area in search of gold were called 49ers.
