Illegal Aliens Making $25/hr Re-Roofing Target Center on City Budget

I can hardly find anything on this on the wed, but local news had several of these "poor," downtroden thieves complaining. Not only that, but the city council apparently okay'd this "money saving" project to re-roof the target center. On local news, that had interprets for the poor downtrodden criminals who just happen to be making $25.00/hour! Outrageous!

My father worked for 30 years driving a forklift and never broke $20/hr. All I can say is that I have never been so down right, godamn pissed at the government. The local for Minneapolis make $40/hour, which, by itself is astounding. My mother and father combined never made that much money, as far as I remember.

But the real crux here is that this story has relatively been baried, and this is such and egregeous act on behalf of the city council, that should all damn well be fired. $25 an hour!? So much for the illegals doing the "jobs Americans won't do."

Why it is so difficult for Americans to work at FedEx or UPS to lift boxes just for 5-6 hours at 10 bucks an hours (not 25 bucks)? Why? and why not?

Fridley-based Stock Roofing, a subsidiary of Skokie, Ill-based Tecta America Corp.

The Skokie comp. should be investigated. I'm going to try to dig more up on this. The fact that the workers interviewed had interpreters is very suspicious to me. I can't even begin to imagine how much is swept under via the media.

If this company is hiring illegals, at $25/hr I don't think they'd have a hard time finding American citizens or legal residents willing to work so there should be no need to hire illegals.

The Target Center is a high profile building. I have my doubts about the illegal alien claim. Wouldn't this be similiar to a contractor hiring illegal aliens to re-roof the Governor's mansion?

The union that is boycotting the project make $40/hr. Big difference. Big savings for that company. Plus, guaranteed they don't give them benefits. The owner of the company is actually a leglislator or a lobbyist in Washington or some shit, from what I gathered so far. It's also the biggest roofing company in America, so I can only imagine the power they have. Rich get richer evvvverrry day (they are going to get federal stimulus moneys as well. Sucks to be the little man in America!).

Illegals suck up government funds in waste fraud and abuse no worse than than anyone else feeding off of the government trough including corporations like Haliburton. At least they are willing to come here and in most cases work hard to improve the circumstance for their posterity. Honestly, I have no problem with people like that at all.

When people find themselves in disparate straits it's likely they will take every opportunity to try and help themselves...sometimes they will engage in fraud and abuse. But I can tell you I have far less problems with that than a situation like with Haliburton needlessly defrauding our country out of billions just to support an appetite of greed to enrich the very few.

The Skokie comp. should be investigated.
