Imporant Theological Question.

Could god create a dick so big that not even he could suck it?

What am I doing here?
I was in a philosophy class that asked if God create a rock so heavy that he couldn't lift it. The problem of God not being able to do something then makes God not God according to the classical definition of God ("God is that which nothing greater can be conceived"). So, the answer was that one power of God's doesn't limit another power. What the question is trying to ask is can God limit himself? The answer is God has the ability to remain perfect. The answer of "could" becomes irrelevant. Sure he could create a rock too heavy to lift, but it wouldn't be because he wasn't strong enough. It would be because he chose to limit his lifting power. The question of "would" replaces "could." So God, would not, do that.

But yeah, God says he doesn't like that homosexual stuff...so no.

If God is so great, explain Bob Saget.

The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
Is anyone else actually picturing God trying to suck a big dick? :dunno:

Just wondering...

Yes, I bribed and cheated to get this far
I read one theory that god is pissed off because "he" doesn't have a body, he's just this amorpheus entity, and while it's true that he can do anything, really, there are many things that the can't do because he is God, and that limits him to only being God. I mean think about it, God Could do any of the stuff that he outlaws people from doing, but then no one would listen to him so that wouldn't work out very well. He could even take human form, but if he was constantly in human form, then he'd just be a human and not a God, and same thing. etc.

I'm having an orgasm!
You ever noticed how people who believe in Creationism look really unevolved? You ever noticed that? Eyes real close together, eyebrow ridges, big furry hands and feet. "I believe God created me in one day" Yeah, looks liked He rushed it.

Would it scar anyone if i said

God is only myth a very far fetched myth.

I don't believe the idea of the Christian God, but I do believe that there is something, some force at work in the Universe, sadly we can't comprehend what It is, or it's meaning.

In order for life to have appeared spontaneously on earth, there first had to be hundreds of millions of protein molecules of the ninth configuration. But given the size of the planet Earth, do you know how long it would have taken for just one of these protein molecules to appear entirely by chance? Roughly ten to the two hundred and forty-third power billions of years. And I find that far, far more fantastic than simply believing in God.

Houston, this thread's been hi-jacked.

I salute your wisdom, McNab. You summed up my entire theological ethic in one fell swoop. And your sig is my favorite line from my favorite movie. Much respect.

If the thread has to get hijacked at least it was hijacked in a positive fashion.

The universe is a big place. I wouldn't even dare guess how many planets there are suitable for life. If the fact that life came to be on Earth despite how low the chances are bothers you, think of it like this; how many planets are there where life could've happened but actually didn't? Even a small chance of an event taking place is plenty when you have a very long time and a lot of places for it to happen. One could even argue that in an infinite universe, it is impossible for it not to happen.

A woman is an occasional pleasure but a cigar is always a smoke.
Quiet, Imagine. You can't go applying rational thought and proper statistical analysis to religion, it just doesn't work, and therefore must be disregarded!

The question of this post reveals the problem of dealing with absolute truths. When two absolutes conflict one must be more absolute than the other to resolve the issue. In the process two absolutes become relative to the each other. In other words, all absolutes are false including this sentence. Never mind. I’m getting a headache.
