The trial is going to be interesting—I don't think he was as big as a Gotti, but the insularity of the 1-mile square town of Southie (South Boston) makes it really colorful. Kind of like Don Corleone back in the old days as opposed to Michael in the contemporary era. The FBI recruited this guy as an informant to go after the Italian Mafia, and he started corrupting the agents from the get-go, using them to his own ends. Not to mention, Whitey's brother, William "Billy" Bulger, was President of the Massachusetts Senate for almost 20 years.
