If people were being asked if they agree with interracial marriages or they'd have one themselves that's one thing but that's a shockingly high figure for people wanting it outlawed completely. I think in the UK less than 1% would want it outlawed (probably the few white supremacists we have) and this country is over 90% white, seems some parts of America still think the way their forefathers did when they emigrated there centuries ago.

You're forgetting what the poll asks. It doesn't try to determine what percentage merely agrees or disagrees with interracial marriage. It says nearly half believe it ought to be illegal.

My point is that the number of those polled that said that amounts to under 200 people (184 to be exact). Not hard to get that in other states. But that's hardly enough to be indicative that its a feeling shared by the majority of Mississippi.

:dunno:It was (presumably) a random sample of some number of Mississippi Republicans which found nearly 50% believe interracial marriage should be illegal.

Now depending on the sample size (as seems to be your point) one may not have cause to tar the entire state. But there is nothing wrong with a pollster sampling let's say 400 Republicans in Mississippi then reporting on nearly half believed something as long as it was a random sampling.

Can you find 184 people in other places that believe like this if you specifically looked for them? Likely so.

But again what this poll theoretically represents is them randomly picking 400 Republicans in Mississippi and nearly 1 out of every 2 believed it ought to be banned.

this is only another media outlet trying to cause racial divisiveness between blacks and whites in the usa.......nothing more.
normally is much more subtle but this one goes all out.
its the same basic routine. make blacks more angry and hateful, make whites feel more guilty and self loathing.
divide and manipulate the people, theyre much easier to control that way.
the other purpose is to promote the democratic party.
this is why I don't like most republicans, but I hate democrats, they'll use any cheap tactic to get what they want, to push theyre plan.

There is nothing wrong with that. That isn't even the issue here. The real issue is that if someone doesn't hold those views, then it shouldn't be held against them. If someone wants to marry someone whose background is different then let them. Quite frankly, it is none of anyone else's business what two people decide they want to do whether its a white person marrying another white person, a black person marrying an Asian person, or a Latin person marrying a person of middle eastern descent. If it is not something that you would do then that's fine. However, don't try to fuck it up for someone else if they don't necessarily see things that way.
