I watched the first 2 seasons thru Netflix last year and they were hilarious. The show really takes off once Danny DeVito joins the cast. I love the fact that all the characters are basically selfish and asshole-ish. Plus, its an R-rated sitcom.

Do you mean the show gets better with Danny Devito or more popular? Because I think he kinds ruins the show.

I freaking love the show, and I try to tell people about it all the time. I laugh so hard that I can't hear the next joke. I'm with you on Danny Devito. Most people say that they like the show even more with him, but to me it lost a little. He has his moments, but overall I thought it was slightly better without him. Hulu.com has the 1st and 3rd seasons on for free to watch. I watched them all in about a week.

I think my favorite episode might be the last one, the season finale (3) where they have the dance off. I feel like I'm watching a classic everytime I watch the show. It's comedy perfection.

Here's some revival to a great old thread. This show is definitely my favorite since Curb Your Enthusiasm. In fact, they are the only 2 shows I've really paid attention to since the turn of the millennium. For it's off the wall antics, IASIP is definitely my favorite comedy (possibly of all time) though. This 4th season hasn't been AS great, but it's had some fine moments (excluding that "poop" episode). I think season 3 is my favorite of them... So, what are your guys' favorite episodes? Mine would be, in no particular order [except for the first 2]:

I tend to miss previews for upcoming shows so I don't really know how I did it but I actually started watching this show from day 1. After like 2 minutes, I knew that I just found my new favorite show. I own the first two seasons on DVD and I just can't get enough of this show. The only real problem with the show is that it has absolutely set the bar way to high for me when it comes to comedy. Whenever I rewatch other stuff or watch new stuff, most of the usual comedy just doesn't cut it anymore. I've also turned almost everyone I know into Sunny junkies as well.

I mostly agree with your first statement, but I still bust a gut laughing to certain Seinfeld episodes though, that show is timeless. Of course, CYE has so many great moments too...

As for the second statement, good to hear! I've done the same, and it started with me from one of my friends' friends

I have to agree. I think the show was way funnier without Danny DeVito. :thumbsup:

I found the show funny both before and after DeVito. I think his character fits in pretty well with the gang and it was a good decision to add him. Naturally, it will make the show more popular but I don't think the comedy has suffered one bit. I was a little worried that with a big name attached to the show that they might have to tone it down some but from what I have read, DeVito said that he will do anything. The creators said that no topic is off limits too so I think it will be fine. There have been a few turds here and there (the episode about who poo'd comes to mind lol), but I don't think it had anything to do with DeVito.
