I don't like either one of them or McCain.

There's hate from every side of the debate.
But, not as much as people say.
It's mostly from politicians not doing their job or what they promise.

Jimmy Carter said it was racism. That's why he's called the peanut farmer.
It's the only thing he knows how to do.

Why can a black comedian tell "white people" jokes and get no flack,
but a white comedian says no "black people" jokes?
Because the white person will be labeled racist.
Unfortunately, racism will always exist - white to black, black to white, brown to white, and so on.
Once kids stop learning this in the home and at school and stop seeing this brought up daily on television, racism will die off in several generations down the road. But it won't.
All any of us can do is look in our hearts and that determines the person we are.

The pres can talk and talk and talk, but until Congress decides to do something, it is all pretty much a stalemate that will keep things the way they are. Congress' inability to be leaders and dare to be pro-active has dragged this country into the ground. They seem to be waiting for the corporations to tell them what their next steps will be.

Carter served on surface ships and on diesel-electric submarines in the Atlantic and Pacific fleets. As a junior officer, he completed qualification for command of a diesel-electric submarine. He applied for the US Navy's fledgling nuclear submarine program run by then Captain Hyman G. Rickover. Rickover's demands on his men and machines were legendary, and Carter later said that, next to his parents, Rickover had the greatest influence on him.

Carter has said that he loved the Navy, and had planned to make it his career. His ultimate goal was to become Chief of Naval Operations. This is what's called "white washing" history? Dude. White America does not have the greatest, most impeccable track record when it comes to race relations.

Dubya took a lot of racial flack for Katrina and for putting a Horse Marketer in charge of FEMA. Yeah, that's a great idea, if your intention is to create a climate where gov't can do nothing but fail...some people, like Obama, take a different approach. Let's actually FIND qualified people to run gov't so gov't functions as best it can...
