I used to work with one. He was like a big overgrown kid, a huge comic book fan, and a very nice guy. I always thought it was interesting that he didn't observe his birthday, didn't salute the flag, and was a teetotaler, but he told me why he felt drawn there and he never pressed his views on anybody unwillingly. I wish more people of any religion or faith could have been like him.
Dislike to judge on the subject but honestly don't like JW's. They don't celebrate Christmas, they don't respect other people's religion except their own, they don't pledge alligence to the flag, they're against blood transfusion, they believe once you die there is no afterlife, and they talk so much about their religion forever and ever...
It's also annoying when they knock on my door ready to hand me a booklet that says watchtower? And then explain to me why their religion is better then others and etc.
Impersonating a gay person is always worth the effort (and possible witnesses) when the JW comes a-knockin'.
What worked for me was the fact that it was 9:00AM, in a smoke-filled apartment with Metallica's version of "Am I Evil" blasting, and "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" playing on the TV. I guess the cold beer in my hand and the lit Marlboro in my lip helped, too.
They just took one look at me, then at each other...shrugged and walked away.

We met while fishing close by and started running into each other. At one point he asked if I wanted to hear about his beliefs, and when I said no he was fine with it and we kept fishing.
LOL....I like to tell them I'm Jewish but your way probably draws more of an effect. Sounds like fun too....can I come over??
My family are JH both sides I grew up around it and both of my grandma's my aunt and several cousins are JH still.
That was more my sense of humor, I knew you could be excepted back. I did think it had to be an Elder of the church you had to study with. Not sure that elder is the right term, isn't every baptized man similar to a minister? But that is not true about telling them you were disfellowshipped to get them to go away. You can return to the church after being disfellowshipped. You have to study with another JH until they vouch for you that you have mended your ways and are ready to return. So that might make them more aggressive because you could be helped to return.
Fuck off.
