Not now. He has way too much support here at the moment and Cameron won't want to do anything more to piss off the British public more than he has already has done. I think the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts have finally severed that special relationship and seeing how much trouble the States are in, it doesn't really pay to be their lap dog anymore. The judges here are also pissed about the times the US refused to release video footage and other info of their troops who had killed British soldiers in friendly fire incidents, they won't make it easy for them to extradite Assange. I would've thought the US has bigger things to worry about than Assange in any case.
Special relationship still remains as vassal state:
They refused to renegotiate the extradition treaty.
They have the ears of those who make British decisions. British public won't revolt no matter
WHAT you do. That means even tho it doesn't pay to be their lapdog, it will pay those in charge and so we will continue to be just that. Yes. I know: :tinhat:
Also, but I suspect you'll be less interested in so I've seperated it to allow you to ignore it easier:

They still have the airbase on our turf.
We're still buying F35 despite the fact that they had to be forced to let us operate it independantly, our version won't be stealth because they don't trust us with it, it's approx 1/5 heavier than MiG35 & has inferior sensors, can't force disperse & there's no point not navalising Typhoon for carrier ops with just one carrier.
We're still fighting alongside them despite the fact that they're rude about the capabilities of our army.
When the recent program on military procurement save up all featured weapons were americans despite the fact that the L85A2 is (in the words of British troops) "The best rifle in the world" and the M4 carbine recommended has a whole bunch of problems * only one advantage over L85A2.
They offered us absolutely NO support when Argentina and Britain appeared about to go to war again
The Apaches they sold us suffered tail damage every time they fired a hellfire because firing a hellfire damaged the tail section.
Under american plans they would then have to be shipped off to america for repairs. I think that problems been sorted now.
They're making all NATO tanks switch to smoothbore barrels. Bloody stupid. Especially now.
