No, he's famous for capitalizing on the plight and suffering of hurricane Katrina's victims by exhibiting his douche bag tendencies, opportunistically grabbing the spotlight on national TV by saying "George Bush doesn't care about black people", which got him enough press that we've been subjected to him since.
