Lakers Fans Go Wild, 18 Arrested

Los Angeles (myFOXla.com) - Eighteen people were arrested and eight police officers injured after thousands of Los Angeles Laker fans took to the streets following the team's championship victory in Orlando in a celebration that turned ugly when a number of "knuckleheads" started fires, looted several stores, tried to overturn cars and assaulted police.

Maybe geneticists will find a gene which causes post-championship fandemonium:dunno:

Not really, look at the stats. LA leads the nation in shootings of cops and assaults on cops.

I've lived in many cities, including LA, and none of them have people who are so quick to attack a cop.

Seems like any time either the Raiders or the Lakers get into any sort of big game, win or lose, this type of stuff happens. I can remember the same thing happening in 2002, and 2003 with the Lakers, unbelievable.

18 arrests indicates things weren't too bad, but it's still 18 more than you'd like to see
