That's ironic... :bs:

Isn't that special?
Well, at least, you can spell ironic...now, try to work on understanding the actual meaning.
I know it's tough being a bit behind the other posters in a thread, but you'll catch up with a little study and practice.

Biden got put in White House arrest, him and his outa control mouth; Pelosi has others who want her job and her outa there...she just gave Obama a reason to move her aside, and it will probably happen.
Good...

Yes, I bribed and cheated to get this far
Pelosi would be elected in her district even if she were dead. She is not going to go away. Sorry to disappoint the rabid right, but she remains third in the presidential succession line. :thefinger

Yup, unless Cindy Sheehan decides to move to her district and run for congress there as an independent, that would be a very close race.

I'm sorry, I don't follow these whores (politicons) around like I used to but, in the event that Polosi is given the cold shoulder throughout her party and she does eventually resign, e.g. (takes the long flight back to San Fran Nanfrisco) does it appear that her replacement is further to the left than the Nance herself ?

Who's this guy "Stanny Hoyer" ? Would he be her replacement ? Sorry about the inaccuracy of the name (above), I just don't feel like googlin it right now.

Anyhow, I heard that Nancy and "Stanny" hate each others' guts, FWIW.
Do keep in mind that that's only a good thing as long as he's to her right as we can't go any further left ! Shit, if we do we'll have legalized incest the way we're going here :p

A wise man once said to never trust a man whose name ends in the playful - awww shucks "ie" or "y". Sandy Berger, Bernie . . . . whoever, pick em ! I haven't yet me one that wasn't a fraud. How about just plain 'ol Bernard ? Why in the hell do they have to effeminize their name ? I can only speculate.

"Stanny", huh ? Oh it's Steny I'm told.

Geeesh  :D

as a country we should be ashamed that our government lied to the world about how moral we are. We may treat most people better than other countries do, but we are not innocent. I think we are also fiding out that what the government told us was a bunch of bull. They will say it was for our protection. I say it is still a lie. Cheney, Rumsfeld and the gang used the war to make a huge chunk of money. Now there are so many people who did things less than legal who are pointing fingers to avoid being the single fall guy the media and public want to attach all the blame to. Some people probably need to be prosecuted, but I am not stupid or naive enough to believe it will happen

^ Our government is our government, why should the populace apologize ?

Who exactly maintained this idea that America was perfect ?
If we don't apologize to the world we maintain that we're perfect ?

And which war are you referring to ?

Afghan.
Iraq or The fake one on drugs ? ;)

if our government represents us poorly, or illegally, an apology may be in order. No one said that America was perfect but there is a difference between a mistake and blatant violations of the human rights we "hold so dearly." The invasion of Iraq may have been to secure the oil fields from Russian and Chinese hands, but it didn't make you wonder that the only companies who seemed to get the mega-no-bid contracts had either Cheney or Rumsfeld connections?

people wanted that so called change, they get it and have to deal with it.

change on a letterhead is one thing, dealing with the aftermath of some blatant abuses of power is another. I have never believed we have been an "innocent" nation, but to hear some of the smear campaigns and the rally-round-the-flag speeches, you would think we were. The smoke screens sent up to spark debate and keep the real issues on the back burners are working. We are now worried about whether Pelosi knew or didn't know. The issue is did any of our leaders break the law and if so how soon do we start the trial.

I must say, if I were going to be schooled, I could do with a better teacher.

Irony could be defined as someone saying something derogative to someone else, unaware that what he is saying is a most perfect discription of his or herself. Shades of narcissism and denial. Like a big red/green zebra.

Sore thumb.

You good for anything but insults? Well, you aren't very good at that either. You good for anything?

well then, getting back on topic. Pelosi's approval rating's are not really anything to brag about (were they lower than Bush?) And unless Obama whips out the magic wand (settle down ladies) and fixes the economy. Negitivity will start to resonate, so maybe a scapgoat is needed. Her husband in the arms industry? their probibly nearly in poverty. Clearly no conflict of interests for such a high appointed individual

You do realize, Facetious, that these funny, cute little names are rampantly popular in the South? Aren't you a "culture warrior" for Southern values?:dunno: Isn't "Newt" a cute name? Rush is kind of a strange name too, now that I think about..

Pelosi ain't gonna resign. This is only an issue because Fox News has thrown kerosene on a pile of memos and Cheney has, apparently, not gotten the memo about ex-presidents and vice presidents fading off into the sunset quietly...

I never thought the GOP would provide so much amusement...I look forward to each day and watching what new, inventive way that Republicans will tear into each other....

while I hold to the notion the above were manly men playing manly games, they did often shower with other men. I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
