The title of this thread is very misleading as we don't if she was raped or not, if she had been I'm pretty sure we would have heard about it by now. Not to trivialise any sort of sexual assault but rape a very serious and disgusting crime and the term should not be used sparingly. Not to condone the actions of the mob but it is never a clever idea to send an attractive female dressed in western clothing with her head uncovered into a turbulent situation in an arab country, this may not seem much to us in the west but it's the equivalent of having a woman walk around topless here, she is also pictured in the article below with her hair out amongst Afghani soldiers in Afghanistan, again that is inviting trouble and could be seen as a sign of disrespect in that country. Again I stress I'm not condoning the mobs behaviour and they deserve to be punished for what they did but when you travel to a foreign country, especially ones that are arab and muslim you need to be aware of the cultural implications of how you dress and behave. I wish her a speedy recovery and not let this affect her future work. :2 cents:

A lot of the women were in Western style clothing and not all of them had their head covered. They were calling her and her crew Jews before hand (it's reported that way but we all know about these early reports) so she was definitely targeted for being a Westerner.


I would say that many Muslims should then understand when they violate the cultural norms of Western countries and want their women to walk around with their face covered up while they ogle Western girls.


Theirs a huge hypocrisy in Islam where non-Muslim women are looked at as little more than sex slaves for Muslim men while at the same time, they prohibit marriage between non-Muslim men and Muslim women.

It's a practice that started with their prophet and continues to this day.

The ignorance in these post is astonishing.

First off—what the fuck does China care? That country has no problem dealing with the worst counties in the world—human rights are not a big priority for them.

Second—Egypt is not Afghanistan. Suggesting that one needs an AK to walk around the street of Cairo is ridiculous.

My guess would be that assault against her reflected anger at the West (U.S. primarily,) for our unwavering support of Mubarak for so many years, despite the suffering of the common people of Egypt.

It's interesting how it's okay to criticize Islam on the right and Christianity on the left, but not Judaism.


The reason why Islam in particular gets targeted is because this phenomenon of gangrape or sexual assault of non-Muslim or non-practicing Muslims is actually well documented in today's Europe, Middle east and South Asia. We're not talking about stuff that happened hundreds of years ago, it's a widespread problem that continues to this day.

What sets this apart from the 290,000 you pathetically try to equivacate with is that it was done in PUBLIC and that hundreds of men saw it but did nothing. Now how does this differentiate between let's say the Puerto Rican day attacks in NYC?

It was done to a reporter who just minutes prior was with her crew filming, these men had to know about it. The Puerto Rican day attacks were done to private, anonymous women at a party.

Lastly she was also a foreigner and it's reported that she was detained previously and accused of being Jewish and questioned about being an Israeli agent. The crowd also reportedly called them Jews when she was assaulted.

It took a bunch of women and then soldiers to stop it while men stood around and watched. So if these women were able to get to her, how come none of the men could??


Sexual assaults and kidnappings or forced conversions are also documented in Egypt against the Coptic minority. So no, Egypt is not Afghanistan, it's Egypt and has it's own brand of rape and oppression of non-Muslims.

It's reported that this incident happened over 20-30 minutes and that they beat her up. She ended up going to the hospital in the U.S. as well.

I noticed some of the online articles that used 'rape' in the headline quickly altered them and Logan herself has already said she wants to return to Egypt, not exactly the first thoughts of a rape victim. Simply because Islam like Judaism is a very difficult religion to leave where the followers believe they will be punished in hell if they don't lead a religious life and worship god. Most westerners who call themselves Christians yet don't follow any of the 'rules' probably deep down don't believe they will be sent to a hell for their sins, in fact they probably don't believe in hell full stop. The fear factor in Islam is strong and if you were strong enough to leave you'd be disowned by friends and family, you couldn't say the same of most Christians.

Or it could be that prohibition against leaving Islam that carries a death sentence. I doubt those folks are worried about a fictitious hell, especially in a religion they don't believe in.

But the reality of it is that many don't leave Islam because they aren't ashamed of what Muslims do in the name of Islam, as long as it's done to Infidels and apostates. Which polls show, many Egyptians (yes even those who want Democracy) want death for those who leave Islam.


A master-slave dynamic is built into Islam. With young Muslim males as the top master followed by married Muslim females. Unmarried Muslim girls and Muslim males without connections follow.

Non-Muslims males and females are the slave.
