Not at all.
I'm no Letterman fan.
Matter of fact the guy has always rubbed me the wrong way.
Also I've been openly critical of both Clinton and John Edwards for their lying and philandering.
But when it comes to the big picture Letterman's infidelity has about as much significance as some republican comedian, like Dennis Miller for instance, getting caught screwing around......meaning none at all.

The A-rod joke was about her activist adult daughter.
A joke he later granted was in poor taste, and apologized for.

He had no choice. Either admit it or wait for the tabloids and the New York gossip gals (isn't Cindy Adams dead yet?!) to run with it. It's not like it was going to go away if he just hadn't said anything, ya know?
