"Jump the shark" is a term usually reserved for shows that were once popular and then start doing crazy things to recapture their popularity.
You're missing my point so I'll just drop it.
I'm just saying that the producers of the show knew what they were doing when they cast her to be on the show.
This?
I think you're right. But I think that's true of most every single show (reality, news, entertainment) that you see on TV. Rather than "jumping the shark," it's just standard operating procedure. When the History Channel does shows on ancient Venice, Laura Sabbadin is almost always featured. When the Discovery Channel does shows on modern Venice, Laura Sabbadin is almost always featured. Like this Lisa person, Laura is quite competent. And, like Lisa, she's also quite attractive. I almost feel guilty when I'm trying to learn a little something and Laura is wearing a dress with a long split and she moves the wrong way (or... the right way) to get out of a gondola. Oh, hello there!!! How you doin'?
Is this a sign of a (pure) gimmick? I dunno. Maybe. But as we've both pointed out, it works. Lisa had a better than average hauling record among the rookies. So I'm just pointing out that there's a big difference between (obviously competent) Lisa in a truck and say, someone like Danica Patrick being talked about for NASCAR. With absolutely no stock car experience, Danica would be a pure gimmick just to get ratings.
whimsy, would You Mind changing the tag line under your login name......

What you talking about? The little saying right under my screen name? If so, obviously you have not been here long enough to understand Freeones! Either way, too bad...
you've gotta admit, she is completely cute. I was watching this show the other day and decided to keep watching after seeing her.
I started watching it when nothing else was on one Sunday evening. I thought, this is pretty neat, I might check it out next week. So the next week I noticed this blonde in the show and thought how cute she is. I noticed week after week it seems the show is showing more and more of her. They show others just as much, but, to me anyways, seem to be showing her a lot more.
Before I know it it's been five weeks. They did not play it this past Sunday, sadly. Ah well, no biggie. i put the show on, watch it in and out, while working on something or playing around.
