Who is pumped for madden 10?

Not to be a downer, but I really haven't been excited for Madden since about 2004. Madden 2004 has comparable features to the new iteration, and it pains me that EA still lets that happen. Year after year the biggest editions to the game are negligible in the long run. Now a new game I'm pumped for is BackBreaker. Madden could learn a thing or two from that.

Backbreaker looks like it could be very cool. I wanna see more of it in action and have more info at hand. As far as Madden 10 goes, I agree with Shayd, theres not enough upgrades however Madden 09 was a greatest leap without a doubt. If they take that same formula,work out the bugs,give it way more of a tv broadcast/espn highlights presentation ala 2k5, more online features and components ala NHL09, and get rid of the guaranteed 1st down plays and such then it will be the best Madden yet.

Thats a tall order. Football is my fav. sport, I cant do without videogame football come August right when I'm gettin' my fantasy team together so it can be the same game with updated rosters and I wont complain.

OK i bought Madden08 for the PS2 thought the BE a PRO mode was cool.
considering that i created myself as a WR and got drafted by my favorite team (chi. Bears) i won rookie of the year,MVP of the league, and offensive player of the year with just unreal stats. i averaged 8 catches for 200+ yds and 3 td's a game. but lost in the super bowl.
came back into my second season but had lots of other games to play and never really got back to it.
THEN when i got X360 i got the NCAA football signed with NotreDame as a QB and won back2back2back National Championships,stayed all 4 yrs,won the Heisman and transfered my College player onto the Madden09 game and got drafted by SD...i did alot of the drills and played 2 exhibition games but more games prevented me from playing it out....
SO NOW TO MY POINT
i just talked to my cousin and he said that MADDEN10 is going to be the last one....??!????? the last one because of EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS ending?
or they are just not making the game anymore?
or he got some wrong info?
i hope they stop making them ...i Want 2K football games back WITH nfl players not the all-pro football that they put out 2 years ago (it was cool and i could play with my hero Sweetness Walter Payton)... i still own the 2K5 football and plan on eventually playing that again sometime through the rest of my life

That's just a rumor that someone on the Internet started. I've read in it a number of places, but the person inevitably doesn't know who said it, or even if they were close to the production. For all intents and purposes, it's an idiotic rumor. EA just last year signed on to extend the exclusivity deal to 2012. They're paying a lot of money for those rights, it makes no sense to stop the franchise. I think what happened is people saw Madden retired, then just guessed the game would be done too, but EA has already confirmed that Madden 11 will happen.

i said "but what is the reason?" and he said "there is none they just plan to stop making the game"
just from those stupid replies i knew he had either bad info or the wrong freakin story and i'm pretty good with keeping up on the Gaming World and i figure i would have heard SOMETHING if this was rumor was real

Im excited, I like to have at least one of the big 3 sports video game. Especially with a new game console, already got my hands on a baseball game now the long treacherous wait for a football and basketball game continue.

Hey now, I know what Im doing although I bought a cheap version of the one with Lincecum on the cover for a somewhat obvious/mancrush reason, but The Show is the only baseball game that matters.

the more they're showing Madden 10 the more I'm getting pumped. Its really looking sharp with the presentation ala how 2k5 ruled football games in that dept. If they sharpin' up the gameplay alittle from last year,reveal some more bells and whistles like I'm seeing, add more animations and bigger gang tackles,which they already have, than I see this being one hell of a game of football. Check some vids out on gametrailers its...........

Saw in Game Informer that they are trying to incorporate the best things about 2K5 into the new Madden and all these little nuances like gloves and chain gangs and the big deal is supposed to be the Pro-Tak thing. Which is ok i guess.

Cocky fucks EA are. 100% no bugs? Multiplayer running smooth with server tests? etc. I know they have to stamp alot of discs cause we're talking about madden here which has a version for every system except Super Nintendo,but...................:dunno:

It's all about perception my friend, all about perception. They always go gold weeks before they should, simply to provide the illusion that they built a solid product. It's not really going to matter to much, because at this point, either you're a fan of the Madden franchise, or not, and if not, you're probably not going to buy the game.

You're right man...............I'm a fan of Madden no doubt,but I'm a bigger fan of the game of football and I play alot of games. That said, I have to get my Nfl football video game fix every season. All in perspective,if they erased
'09 from the box and stamped it with '10 along with a simple roster update I'd still buy it.........
