I agree , ever since EA got the exclusive rights to the NFL , the Madden games have little improvements each year. I liked the NFL 2k series a lot more. NFL 2k5 was incredible.

I've just erased the demo off my hard drive. Same old Madden: updated graphics but same garbage gameplay. Oh NFL 2K series how I miss you so.

Why the fuck did they make the demo in the snow?????? I hate playing in snow. For the last 25 yrs everyone Ive ever played against would always say "you wanna setup the game so we can play in the snow?" Footballs fucked in the snow. They sound like they're from honalulu.........

I haven't bought a Madden game since '01.I rented '02 and didn't like it because they made it geared more towards defense.'03 was ok,but I found it more fun doing all of the fantasy and owner mode stuff than actually playing games.
I personally think that they should come out every other year instead of every year.The differences in each game every year are minimal and I think that it would benefit if the developers had more time on the game.I really don't know what new innovations that they could come up with,but it just seems that even though the franchise is as popular as ever,it's a bit stale to me.

Please don't compare EA's NHL games with Madden games , they work hard to improve NHL games each year since they have competition but they really don't do the same with NFL games because they couldn't care less , they are the only game in town !

What I was implying, is that Football and Hockey are great sports and videogames are the shit so that alone is reason enough to buy both the
NHL and NFL games each year. I do agree though, NHL kicks ass more and more every year.

I agree, but I'm not going to shell out $60 for a game that adds little more than pretty graphics. I appreciate good looking games as much as you do, but at the end of the day, the animations are canned from 6 years ago, with maybe 5 new ones, the franchise mode has absolutely nothing new, and the rest of the game seems to be just the standard. The reason NHL 09 was so great was because it was such a big change from 08 in terms of almost every aspect of play. Gameplay was smoother, more dynamic, that sort of thing. The EA team responsible for Madden has been resting on their laurels for the better part of 6 years now. And I wouldn't be this upset about it if they took the 2K route and made the new game $20. I could justify paying that much for the game, but not more than that until some serious revisions take place.

I used to buy both games every year but I eventually got tired of Madden and at that same time NHL started to become the incredible game it has been since 2007 so now I only buy NHL and I will do that this year. NHL 10 is going to be great , I can't wait ! By the way , instead of getting Madden 10 I got Blitz the league II for 15$ used and i'm having a blast with it

Just reserved NHL10 and madden 10 today and I got a gamestop exclusive demo code for madden10 ps3 demo. Its diff. than the one on live. This one lets you play four 5min. quarters in a superbowl rematch Pitt. vs. Ari. I hope theres commentary along with other bells/whistles with this demo cause as you know they left that stuff out on the 360 demo. Gonna check it out later........

I'm writing a review here to maybe help people who seem to be on the fence about whether or not to drop $60 on madden in a month since I got this full ps3 demo with my reserve. Played the demo yesterday- Full 5min 4 quarter game,Pitt vs Ari not in the fucking snow thank god.
The games overall graphics,facial expressions,player movements and reactions are slick as hell and very well done.
The gameplay has been improved quite a bit. They said they slowed the game down alittle to play at a more realistic pace and they succeeded 100%. It feels just right no doubt and something this subtle is making a huge difference.
The camera is finallly perfect on pass plays to see all your WR's and Moss finally has it in his head that you dont catch and run out of bounds when you cut to the sidelines and are wide the fuck open.
The new animations and gang tackles are great,along with what they do with the camera work after a play ends.The new play selection interface finally feels like its streamlined like they promise every year, but fail to simplify for people who dont know football formations etc.
This is my fav new feature,when you fumble the ball you can fight for it by doing these timed button presses with a meter. If you succeed you keep the ball. Madden has been plagued with way too many turnovers so I think this is a subtle addition that speaks in volumes.
My overall impression, this game rocks no doubt I'm psyched. I dont know what it is but when I was playing it just felt like authentic football. It didnt feel like a video football game like every other year,it felt like Sundays. That says alot because there was no commentary in this demo and obviously there wasnt any bells and whistles shown such as the sprint halftime highlights they added last year and whatever they have in store for 2010.They did some shit with new online franchise or something but I dont know the details.
