It's funny to hear people who probably have never been to Detroit talking about Detroit. Just tickles me! By the way, I am a son of Detroit repping my city on my arm, so .... :wiggle:

I was just making a joke saint, no offense man. I have been to Detroit though, numerous times. I even stayed in Pontiac for a couple nights. Now that was scary

nonono! I was only kidding myself! Imean people I meet online, it's pointless to argue because of the stereotype and it's hard to explain /seperate the illusion from the reality. I meet people here in Michigan, who live 10-20 miles from Detroit who have never been and just have this pre conceived notion about what goes on here. When they find out where I'm from, all of a sudden, I become a circus freak or something. I could go on for hours about this. By no means though, was I attempting to clown you or anyone else online.

Oh ok, just wanted to make myself clear. I know some people that live in the richer communities right out of Detroit, and I know what you are talking about. They told me and my friends to not even attempt to go into downtown Detroit.

I live in Downtown Detroit, and own a bar as well. Most of the clientele is white professional- male and female who don't have problems whatsoever, who also happen to live in Detroit. Like any urban city, there are parts you can go to, and parts that you can't-white or black. It's just we've been painted as savages who live in the American version of Beirut. I was in a bar in Thailand(military) talking to a guy and once he founnd out I was from Detroit, he started talking to me like I was a circus freak, and I was the crazy American soldier, instead of the guy he was doin shots with 5 minutes earlier.
