I'm not sure how I feel about this one....and I saw the story before. Clearly the neighbors dislike him even more because he's black....and NOT a member of the Cowboys or Mavericks. BUT, the guy is also a con-man who is clearly trying to play the system. I mean it would seem like the guy was a homeless man before he moved in. No furniture at all, no running water, no electricity!?!?!? Doesn't seem likely that the BUM even has the funds to last 3 years in the home. He doesn't look like he's employed....and it looks like he's afraid to leave the place. He actually didn't pay any money for the house at all. He paid $16 to file the paperwork to stake a claim on the home as being abandoned. Where he got that "whopping" amount of money is beyond me.
I'm sorry, the more I think about it, the less I support this jackass! We have people who are working their asses off to keep their homes....people who were taken advantage by shady lending practices in the mortgage industry & they are losing their homes (I know people like this)....and this joker basically squats in a house that some poor person got so far upside down on that they walked away from it? By law, he's NOT the owner of the home....owner of record or otherwise. He merely filed a claim and decided to squat in the house with the pipe dream that he'll get away with it because nobody with standing will do anything about it, & after 3 years, he can petition the court for title on the home (doesn't mean he'd get it).
One thing this joker fails to realize......even best case scenario and he gets away with the theft of the house (which I'm betting they get him removed LONG before 3 years are up....he'll have to pay property taxes OR they will sell the house at a Sheriff's Auction. I'm betting this joker wouldn't have the money to do that. I'm also betting that the house is already delinquent on the property taxes....and I'm also betting he would have to bring the property taxes up to date before he could get title on the home.
Looking at his meager possessions, I'm betting he barely has enough for a value meal at McDonalds....much less the money to keep the house. If anyone should get to keep the house it's the person who got fucked so bad to begin with that he had to walk away. He's the one who was taken advantage of with a bad mortgage (like so many Americans), and made the payments on the place for God knows how long. This guy is a BUM (literally and figuratively) who is trying to benefit from someone else's misery! Sorry, that's not a noble quality in my book. :2 cents:
Anyway, there is nothing noble about this joker or anything he's doing. He's little more than a squatter, & a con-man who is trying to steal a house by playing the system. There are plenty of hard working people who try to do things the right way, only to be fucked by an out of control mortgage system & personally, though it might not be the most popular view on here, I can't support this clown! He's not Robin Hood guys, he's simply robbin' (or trying to anyway)!:2 cents:
