There's an easy way to deal with geese: grab it just below the head and swing. Unless you swing really hard, you won't hurt the goose, but you will make it unable to attack. A few good swings, lob it away, and run.

Seriously? Their beaks are strong, so they bite/pinch your legs, arms, face, whatever. Strong enough to seriously bruise, and to break fingers. Their feet/wings can put a good beating on you, too. You can get a good beating from those fuckers.
