Mariah, out of curiosity, seeing that you like to cook and you obviously have an appreciation for finer dining, have you ever thought about opening or partnering with someone on a restaurant? Chef Mariah? :dunno:

Ive had offers and thought about it but I like my money too much and restaurants are the worst way to invest it that exists. I've read that nearly 90% fail in the first year. That is NOT something I'm interested in at this time. If I become super wealthy, absolutely. But not at this time :) I'll continue to let everyone else take that risk and enjoy their food!

here's a pic from lunch a few weeks back with Roy Choi aka Kogi Trucks who has a webshow on CNN.com we had a biz meeting and filmed some stuff.

If you find yourself in LA you have to check his restaurants out and his food trucks! He was on Anthony Bourdain's show when he featured Korea Twon in LA.

Tonight I made “The garden of Edumb” burger from a recipe I found at thebobsburgerexperiment.com. a burger patty stuffed with sauteed granny Smith Apples, and red onion on a bed of sauteed sweet onions with a maple, ginger, cinnamon yogurt sauce, sliced green apple and sweet potato fries with rosemary and garlic.

I haven’t tried a sweet burger before and it was pretty good but I’m a little more interested in trying the “we’re here, we’re Gruyere, get used to it” burger. It’s a deconstructed French onion soup burger.

But I’ll wait a little while to make it so my mom won’t have a heart attack.


And the photo didn’t do it justice. It was prettier than the picture, I swear.
