Well, someone dying often brings up a lot of former memories or even makes people curious. No different than movies featuring actors that recently died being big (Dark Knight) or sports whose athletes have seen tragedies getting bigger attention (wrestling following the death of Chris Benoit.) So, I wouldn't think there is anything wrong about getting curious about Marilyn after her tragically untimely passing.
