This is a done deal. drumpf's EO on immigration even contained an exception clause specifically addressing this agreement. Your blubbering baby is backed into a corner and he doesn't like it so now he's having a hissy fit.
Turnbull put up with it because he's a politician and an adult. We don't need the USA, we have plenty of other allies. The US on the other hand, should focus on hanging onto whatever friends it's got, because that moron is doing his best to get rid of all of them. Australian defense and foreign policy advisers are preparing for any eventuality, including a freeze on the USA alliance, because nobody knows what the idiot is going to do. But they have said that the alliance will endure, it just has to survive 4 years of drumpf, if he lasts that long.
There's 2 ways this can play out:
1 - drumpf backs out of the deal, showing Australia and the world what the word of the USA is worth under this inept government.
2 - drumpf honors the commitment, in which case this is just another example of your inbecile in chief crying because he didn't get his way. In his defense, it was stated that he was very tired and grumpy, and it was just his worst phone call all day, you guys!
The US embassy here says the deal will go ahead, even drumpf's minister of truth says the deal will go ahead after he gave him a juice box and put him down for a nap.
If anything, drumpf is Turnbull's bitch in this case. He's just making a lot of noise and stomping his feet about it because he thinks that will make him look like the alpha. It works on people who aren't very smart (several examples of those in this thread), but those of us with 3 digit IQs, and real world leaders, are doing what we always do when it's drumpf, and shaking our heads in disgust, at yet another example of drumpf proving to the world that he's just a whiny little bitch with the emotional control of a prepubescent girl.

What other countries will learn from this : America is not to be trusted. You may have a deal with them, it could be canceled as soon as another president takes office.
Deal with america with extreme precaution and make sure they keep their part of the bargain before the end of the president's mandate. Or make sure the next president won't be able to cancel the deal.
