You ever notice that if you wanted 'melodic metal', you just go find a metal/rock song and youtube and just turn the speed down by half?
Technically the beat is absolutely perfect at -33%, but 75% speed is too fast, and 50% is too slow. But you get my meaning. :)

Old roommate of mine used to listen to metal ~ in a casual, every other moment type way. He played D-force, Atreyu and.. here's a weird choice, an absolute TON of Insane Clown Posse. He'd play it to go to sleep. Odd guy, and he couldnt keep a job held down. But really cool, otherwise.

What I meant was that if you want melodic death metal, try any 'normal' metal song and just slow it down ~ it turns from speed metal to 'melodic'. Just one of those youtube experiments where you find a song and muss with the speed and it becomes a different genre. :)
