I think part of it might also be that it's easier to forget about the people one is not used to so when they do post they aren't noticed as much even if they post more than some people think they do.

Some people being more cut out for the talk section than others also helps it feel that way.

No. "Anything" is not okay. The House Committee was, itself, Un-American. It was disbanded for good reason, and it persecuted quite a few people entirely unjustly. One could call this "Government Brutality" akin to the type you like to call on the police. That's not a terribly consistent of you.

Actually, I don't see how you could get that from what I posted. My question was why is it okay for the federal government to do what were demonstrably illegal arrests, trials, imprisonments, and deportations when they're on the witch hunt for Communists, but not okay for the police to arrest people for doing something that is illegal (it may be a stupid law, but it's a law, nonetheless)?
