I remember watching him in the Batman pictures and he was in the Martin Scorsese picture The Age of Innocence which Batman co-star Michelle Pfeiffer was also in.

Alfred was awesome, and while the Bat may have changed in the Movies the real behind the scenes hero stayed the same! Michael Gough actually had quite a long and well played career. A supporting actor that made the lead actors shine!
