It's BAH. Get your acronyms right. Smells again like you never served. If you did you would have an idea how pointless this topic is because of the amount of people shamming marriages in the military. Oh and thanks for the clever comments you sound very smart.

Uh, when I was in it was BAQ (Basic Allowance for Quarters). It was changed to BAH years later.:2 cents:
Again, if you're an expert on the amount of people shamming marriages in the military then you are certainly more clever than I could ever hope to be and have much more time on your hands.
The only thing pointless is your input in this thread. I didn't know a single married couple when I served that was shamming their marriage. Even if they were, why the fuck would they tell me or anyone else about it?? Which begs the question, who was telling you about this?? Or were you someone committing fraud too?
Even if the main reason for the two people to get married was for the money it STILLLLL wouldn't amount to what these 3 Marines did. They were committing unequivocal fraud. The two lesbos married other Marines for the express purpose to collect rats they weren't eligible for...sorry.
But keep smelling....:1orglaugh
I'll tell you right up front that I never served in the military. But I've been paying a lot in taxes since the mid 80's. So since I'm one of the ones whose paid your salary, I'll be the first to tell you that if you can't follow the rules (laws), then you don't belong in the military. You weren't drafted. You joined of your own free will. If the pay isn't high enough for you, why did you join? I assume you asked how much you'd be paid before you signed up?! If you didn't, there again, that's your problem... not the taxpayers'.
If I'm not happy with what I make working for corporation X, that doesn't give me the right to steal from them or defraud them.
Rep worthy....I guess that's the problem with this generation....(damn, that sounded old

). They watch fucking tv then can't accept that they don't live like the people they see in music videos on a military salary...then it's someone else's fault.
Fraud is fraud - and we should hold everyone to the same standard. Sadly, IMO - based on 22 years active duty, this couple was only singled out because she was gay. Over the years I have turned in 5 different "couples" that I've known for the same thing - where that openly admit that they only got married for the money and/or the benefits - where they have never lived together or even pretended to be a couple - and not one of them was ever been investigated.
Call this what you want but in my mind, it's a witch hunt.
More than likely it is a witch hunt. As if them being homosexuals need an additional reason to be witch hunted in the military and unfairly unevenly treated...but fraud is fraud.
