MLB09 the show (PSP ver.)

does anyone have this game? i had the 08 version and was really digging it playing a game or 3 everyday when i was done @ work and would go hide in an empty office. i was doing the road to the show and i made it to the MLB with the Angels.
that's besides the point......
i just got the New one 09 (obviously) and i set up all the teams rosters (for like 3 hours thanks to MLB.com) and i then went to start a new Road to the Show so i can play in the NEW Mets stadium. and when i create my player after you do all the looks and attributes you have a choice go to "the draft" or you can just "select team" and choose the team you want.
i have tried this like 8 times already and everytime i choose either of the above selections..... my PSP just shuts down on me!
it will not let me go farther than that screen.
anyone else have this issue? i guess if i can't get it to work im bringing this game back which sucks cause 08 does not have the New stadiums.

I've had all of them but I have not bought 09 just yet. I can't answer your question but I would certainly like to hear more about the game.

i can't give a valid review of the game because i only play the road to the show game.
just like with ea sports games now with the be a player mode.
i don't play the regular game anymore i have been waiting since i was younger to get games to start doing the "player" modes and it's finally here so i don't bother playing the other modes anymore.

I have the game and don't have this problem. What I would do in your case is try and start a game using the default rosters and see if it goes through as that's how I did it. If it doesn't then it means you've got a broken game. My guess is that when you were making the roster changes you did something the game didn't like and so it crashes.

i got a reply from tech support (sent an email regarding this issue)
and i got the "company line" read the following in a slow robotic voice check the battery,make sure it is in properly,check the power button,make sure it is on,do not use non sony peripherals...blah blah blah.
DOC- it did work when i didn't use the saved rosters but just the default rosters.so something did mess up (corrupt file?) but i am going to delete the saved rosters and re set them up again but not save and just go right into the Road to the Show mode and saving that will be my 1st save of those rosters.
u need to make some roster changes on this game Manny is a free agent.
there are alot of guys still free agents that are vital parts of teams this season.
we'll see how that re-do works out.

I'd check the roster sizes when you make these changes as that's what might be throwing things off.

it was the game. or game disc to be exact.
i brought it back got a new one went into the rosters made a few changes.
created a Road to the SHow player and @ the same point that the other one shut down the system. this one jumoed right into the team chossing screen!
i am so happy now!:nanner:

the new baserunning controls are 100% terrible (psp). i am really thinking of just continuing on with my Road to the Show on mlb08 instead.
