Mom tased during routine traffic stop...

ChefChiTown

The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
I don't really think that woman needed to be tasered and I think the officer involved needs to suffer some consequences (probably a suspension and an issue of an apology), but why do people refuse to talk about the lack of innocence on the mother's part? Why is it, that when stories like this are made public, the people getting tased are always looked at as being innocent angels that did absolutely nothing wrong?

:dunno:

Like I said, I don't agree that with the officer's choice to taser this woman, but she didn't do what she was supposed to do. First of all, you are NOT supposed to exit your vehicle when you are pulled over unless an officer tells you to. That's strike one. Strike two? After she exited the vehicle, she tried to get back into her vehicle (for some reason), which is not only stupid, but it's also resisting arrest. Strike three? Talking on her cell phone and speeding, which is the reason she was pulled over in the first place.

Once again, should this lady have been tasered? No. But, she's not innocent. It's just unfortunate that her kids were in the car, which is the only reason that this story was probably even made public in the first place.

PS - Her reason for getting out of the car is fucking ridiculous. What a terribly misinformed and poorly thought up excuse. She thought the officer was going to show her the tape? The tape of WHAT? The tape of her speeding and talking on a cell phone while her little kids were in the car, which is completely irresponsible (not to mention dangerous) for a mother to be doing? This lady needs to shut the fuck up and move on with her life. I'm tired of this "poor me" bullshit that people constantly pull just in order to get sympathy from the public. Not to mention, $$$$$, because, let's be honest, that's what this is all about.

Good post Chef, I agree. In 99.99% of these cases, the person claims they "did nothing" when in fact they did... now she stands to make a lot of money for being a dumbass.
