But equating my vote for anyone as servile devotion to their every whim is ridiculous. And again (and again and again....I mean, Jesus Tapdancing Christ, I don't expect anyone to remember every post but are you paying any attention at all?) I voiced my dissatisfaction many times, I posted articles and youtubes from people who were/are dissatisfied with him. Other Liberals, leftys and Dems who post here have too. Yet you Cons keep going with the Dear Leader schtick (which makes you guys look even more idiotic than usual, which is saying something).

Have you noticed a hysterical trend of no one being overly happy with Obama, yet the Right claiming partisan, socialist blah blah blah?

ZOMG you're just sucking Obama's balls!

You mean that guy I criticized for a number of issues including not offering the health care I actually wanted, keeping a prison open I wanted closed, using drones I'm unsure about, using NSA procedures I'm sure are questionable, yet are still par for the course...? That guy? Then what the fuck were you when you were accusing the Dixie Chicks of treason because they said they didn't like the Iraq War?

For all the times in the last few weeks that BC has gone off on me, I'm still mystified as to what he's so pissed about. Many of the views that I hold to this day come straight out of the Republican playbook (the playbook that they don't use anymore). But between him and georges and Sampon and whoever else, I have to keep being told what I believe. And I'm the one they're pissed at. For my part, I feel I have every right to swing a chain at anyone who presumes to tell me what I'm about. But yeah, I am so on the record with my own personal 55% approval rating for Obama. But the bullshit reeks on.

I actually posted this reply because of your Dixie Chicks reference. I was watching some news show that had Jeannine Garofolo (sp?) as a guest. She was going on about how (this was pre-Iraq invasion, but we were gearing up) if we invaded Iraq, we are "doomed". Everyone else was laughing at her and, at that time, so was I. Well, fast forward to not very long in the future...who is laughing now?

And as soon as you give up your position as moderator and cease to be part of the establishment, which your bigoted ass should never have obtained (especially considering this board has a "For the Curious" section) I will gleefully add you to my ignore list and forget someone as sad and small as you ever existed.
You are not in the position to tell or even question how one does his moderating job nor whether I should have obtained it or not. Don't even count on me to give up my position. End of story. Political opinions are what they are even if you dislike/hate the strong and diametrically opposed political opinions to yours. You can't deal with them, not my problem. And you what are you fucking offering? Tell me please. When you will have something positive to offer, then we will have a discussion. Since you have registered, I have never seen anything positive coming from you, so spare me your bs and cut it off.

I addressed my reasons for the change in my posting demeanor on another thread Happy. Most of my exchanges on this board have been enjoyable yet spirited. If my characterization of the first lady seems juvenile then maybe so and perhaps I am making more out of the CGI exec and her connection than it deserves I am willing to admit that but how many times does someone on the left start a thread about a politician that I may agree with calling them evil or an idiot? I certainly don't jump on the thread expressing my wish that the OP die. and one clarification Happy, I was not doing an impression of Mariah with a penis it was an impression of Mayhem with one :)

Well, I'll hand it to you that you gave a reasoned answer. A lot of it is bullshit, but you did make the effort. I highlighted one interesting statement. Your one sided portrayal of the blame game is pretty stunning, coming from you.

I voted for Obama in this election because I didn't have a choice. And I said so any number of times. Voting for Romney was not an option. And he was the best of the lot! Again, as I've said repeatedly, for all the hatred the Right has for Obama, the best the GOP could do was round up a collection of bona fide imbeciles. Keep it straight: the Republican Party is the sole reason Barack Hussein Obama is serving a second term. It wasn't the ground game, it wasn't the minority vote, it wasn't "Americans who want things". It was the fact that there was no one else to vote for.

But equating my vote for anyone as servile devotion to their every whim is ridiculous. And again (and again and again....I mean, Jesus Tapdancing Christ, I don't expect anyone to remember every post but are you paying any attention at all?) I don't blame 9/11 on anyone but Osama bin Laden. But I blame everything that came after on Bush II. DHS, TSA, Hurricane Katrina, the financial meltdown....all Bush, all the time. Yes, I know (fuck, I get tired of repeating everything for the learning disabled) that Dems voted for DHS and TSA. But the sitting President and leader of the GOP forgot 30 years of what his Party stood for and ignored the CIA, FBI and DoD so he could concoct a multi-billion dollar bureaucracy that willfully steps on the freedoms of law abiding Americans. BTW, he turned me from a staunch Republican to the Liberal Democrat you see right here. So don't fuckin' tell me that Bush isn't to blame. I'm here, you're there, so deal with it.
Good to have a honest and straightforward reply from you

georges. if only the minorities voted for obama he wouldnt have won. he won the minority vote, but he beat romney by 4 MILLION votes. that took a LOT more than just the minorities voting. do the math dude.

and how do you figure obama hates the rich? he has made the richer in this country richer than Bush did. our stock market is breaking it's own record daily. CEO salaries and corporate profits are at record highs. he included 2 of the biggest businesses in the country in his health care plan. 270 of the fortune 500 companies are insurance and pharmaceutical companies. now they are going to get even richer because it is required to buy insurance from them.

so where do you get your logic georges? oprah doesnt hate white people. she made all her money from white people. she made a movie called "Precious" that is all about how bad the black culture of welfare and teen pregnancy is hurting the black race in America. Have you seen it? If you have you would clearly see she is hardly anti-white.

your facts are not facts georges. you generalize with one of the most sweeping random nets I have ever seen in my life.

Well, only 39% of whites voted for him (see enclosed chart)s, it is an undeniable fact the rest all the other votes (61%) were voted accumulated from minorities voters. To be honest with you Mariah, I haven't followed the NY Stock exchange nor the Dow Jones rates but what I see on the other hand is that your unemployment isn't decreasing and your debt will raise with this overspending for implementing healthcare but that is another matter. Also to be honest, I never saw Oprah's movie Precious but perhaps I should, it would make me less suspicious about her. I was never fond of her.

Right wingers are so angry and frustrated because, despite the fact that most people that didn't vote for them in 2008 and 2012 aren't overly joyed with President Obama, there's still no way in hell they're going to vote republican in the future. There aren't enough strong republican majorities in enough places to change the direction of the electoral college. The writing is pretty much on the wall for 2016 and it's not because there's a great Democratic candidate waiting in the wings, it's because the Tea Party is ripping the GOP to shreds. I don't understand how the Tea Party expects to appeal to people who vote for Democrats to suddenly abandon their political philosophies and embrace something that's so far to the fringe of the political right, particularly given the fact that anyone that's not already indoctrinated into extreme conservative beliefs can see that the radical isn't Obama, but guys like Ted Cruz . I can only liken it to trying to convert a non-believer at a tent revival. The best way the Republicans can fight Obama and the Democratic Party is to get their radical fringe under control.

georges in november of 2008 under Bush, the US was losing LOSING 780,000 jobs EVERY MONTH. We are now gaining jobs EVERY MONTH. We just added 148,000 jobs in September and that is being seen as a disappointment. Clearly everyone seems to forget the jobs epidemic under Bush.

and how many of the whites didn't vote for Obama simply because he is black? Polls say a lot. and how many didn't but are ashamed to say so out loud? I would bet a LOT.

Hey xman how about getting your radical fringe on the left under control and maybe we would consider your candidates. I know you all are cocky right now because you won the last 2 elections handily but you ran a charismatic candidate like the Republicans had in Reagan. Yes the demographics have changed but you are discounting how conservative asians latinos and other ethnicities really are. If you think Hillary Clinton is just walk into the White House in 2016 without a fight you are sadly mistaken. I don't know which way the political winds will turn next time around but it will not be the cakewalk you expect it to be. Obama was a rare candidate but following him is going tn be like Nickelback performing 30 minutes after Led Zeppelin left the stage.

I really don't think Hillary is going to run. I dont think her ego could stand another loss. I also think that it's pretty clear that she's not well liked and last time it was exposed how much corporate and military contractor backing she had. that doesn't sit well with liberals with the ability to write campaign funding checks.

I just want someone who isn't a lifelong politician. I want Warren to run but she might not want it. I think she does and I think seeing her debate a republican would be like watching a surgeon remove a tumor.

Which "radical fringe"? We've got so many, and for the most part they are under control. I'm not cocky about anything, the guy I voted for won two presidential elections, but it's not like my vote mattered, my district went 75% in favor of both McCain and Romney. To reinforce the point I made in the post above, it's not like the Democrats have a great candidate waiting in the wings, it's the internal war between establishment Republicans and the Tea Party that's tearing the GOP apart, sure there's going to be a bloodbath in the 2016 Republican primary and it won't matter who wins because there will be so much hemorrhaging limping into the general election that all a mediocre Democratic candidate will have to do is not fuck up too much. A strong Democratic candidate would be a GOP nightmare.

I've heard this often before from conservatives and I just don't buy it. I'm both a millennial and a Latino and my generation, according to studies, is one that wants no affiliation with the church and religion and is a generation that is very progressive, especially on social issues. Where you're statement might be true is when you talk about the older generation, like our parents and grandparents. The older generation tends to be more conservative on the social issues and that's a product of religion.

Some of the most deeply religious people that I know are Hispanic. And quite a few Brazilans are evangelical and Baptist if not Catholic. My secretary is Venezolana and will not allow her children celebrate Halloween because she think it glorifies the occult and Satanism. She also will not allow her children to participate in Easter egg hunts because she says it is a pagan ritual. On the plus side, she is gorgeous and has the best legs I have ever seen on a woman and wears tight short skirts that doesn't translate to a deeply religiovs woman but latinas don't see any conflict with that. She is nice to look at and talks like Sophia Vergara so I let her slide on the crazy talk.

Ok, but do you know any deeply religious 20 year olds? I'm not saying they don't exist but one or two religious Latinos doesn't represent the entire generation according to the studies I've seen.....and yeah i don't blame you, I might be biased but Latinas are the most beautiful women in the world
