On topic please. You've been reported.

:hatsoff:

I thought that was the most important position...

I guess I'll say left tackle. He protects the QB's blind side from an end or OLB coming off the edge.

Not sure you can really compare sports to each other though.

I'd either say Hockey net-minder or pitcher. I hate baseball, so I'll go with net-minder.

Look how the fucking piece of fucking ass-munching cock of a fucking bastard net-minder in Vancouver entirely decimated their chances of winning. One person on that excellent team made the difference. Same with Boston, except that vile piece of ass lint (Thomas) made his team win.

I agree on that one!

I wanted to say "missionary"... but I am not sure if sex is a sport?

QB. You have to be a special type of player to play that position. You have to be tough because a QB will take some hits and more importantly you have to be smart to be a QB.

They could have just scored more. :dunno: How does the highest scoring team get out scored 142-8 in the final 4 games like that? Luongo did choke though. Cloutier could have made those saves!

Quaterback all the way. Not only do you need to be sharp, precise, smart and athletic...but you also have to have the natural ability to play that position. It's the most coveted position in all of sports.

Basketball: This is the most team-oriented sport out there, so that rules out every position.

Baseball: If you have a team packed with long-ball hitters who are great fielders, then you can offset a bad pitcher.

Hockey: A bad goaltender would obviously be fired very quickly. I'd rather see hockey get rid of the goaltender, elevate the goal off the ice (slightly) and make the goal smaller. Doing this would make the game interesting instead of the boring garbage that it is now.

The obvious answer is Quarterback.

In north america, maybe. Very few people outside of north america gives a crap about american football. I would say that the most important position in sports is goalkeeper in ice hockey. In most other team sports you could still win the match if the goalie is playing like crap, but that´s almost impossible in ice hockey.

Goaltender. Easy.

You can make up for an average QB with a good RB. It's not like you can make up for an average goaltender with good defenseman.

That's ridiculous. After baseball, basketball is probably the least team oriented sport in the world. 3 guys and a bunch of scrubs with no coach just went to the Finals. The Lakers were getting blown out by the Raptors until Kobe took over. 1 guy can win you a game. Or take you to the playoffs. Lebron circa 2006.

Football is the quintessential team sport. If 1 player doesn't do his job, the rest of the team suffers. People have to run their routes, guard, read the d, etc. You know this and you still think basketball is the most team oriented sport? That's insane to me.

Especially since he asked about sports, and yet, everybody else is talking about games.

Wally Dallenbach or Charlie Whiting back you up very well, IMO.
