MPG vs. WMV Videos

On my Windows PC, mpg files take FOREVER to open while wmv files open INSTANTLY. I timed it and it anywhere from 25 seconds to 1min39sec for a mpg file to open, stuck with that "opening media..." message in the lower left hand corner. Until I can fix this guess which videos I'm not watching (hint it rhymes with embassy).:crash:

because windows media player is designed to play Windows Media Video files.

I'd say that generally Mpg. files are better quality. It just depends on what you want.

This is true, but also Windows Media Player sucks ass, I use VLC or one of the other ones instead. All types of file open faster with one of the other free players that are around.
