Christians escape Kenyan terrorist massacre after Muslim passengers on board bus say 'shoot us all or not at all'


Passengers on board a bus bravely defied Islamic terrorists' demands to sacrifice the Christians on board during a deadly standoff in Kenya.

When the 10 Al-Shabaab militants stormed the bus in the country's north yesterday, they demanded Muslim passengers separate themselves from the Christians on board.

But the passengers refused - even giving some of their fellow travellers Islamic articles of clothing to wear so they could not be distinguished.

Incidents like this happen (although usually not under such potentially deadly circumstances) a lot more often than most of us hear about.

This report reminded me of one from last December in Nigeria:

More than 200 Muslim youth volunteers are part of those protecting Christians during church services to celebrate this year’s Christmas in Kaduna State, says Pastor Yohanna Buru.
He confirmed that over 200 Muslims were at his church to help protect the faithful from any attack during the church service.
According to him, the feat is the first of its kind after the series of crises that rocked the state in recent past.
The pastor expressed happiness over the protection given to them by the Muslim brothers. “I really appreciate their love and care,’’ said the cleric.
Buru said the essence of that was to protect the Christian worshippers as part of an effort to strengthen peaceful co-existence between Muslims and Christians in the state.
