God damn it, Baconsalt!
When I use "View As Web Page" on folders I get the name of the folder in the left and some details about the selected file under it (Size, number of files if over 1, preview if pic etc).
The problem is that I dont have these details anymore.
Can someone tell me how to get them back?

As a PC professional, this is my evaluation......get rid of Win98!!!!!!! It is too old and has NO security.....it's a dinosaur, put it out of it's misery

Try clicking the "tools" menu, then select "folder options." Then from that go to "web view" and select "use Windows classic folders." This will get rid of that annoying web shit in your folders. That's how in Works in WinMe....I've forgotten how it goes in Win98...I think it's similar, or the same.

I use WinXP at work and have it for home as well, but I haven't loaded it yet because I'd have to upgrade lots of anti-virus stuff, and that costs a lot of money. Having a prettier interface just isn't that important for the several hundred dollars it'd cost me. LOL

Hope this helps...

I dont have Tools in my folder but I found Folder Options in View.
I dont have Web View but I have View but I dont have "use Windows classic folders" there.
In General I can choose Custom and in Custom>Settings I have "Use Windows classic dektop", which is already marked.

Alot of the picture viewer programs lets you save as a different format. ACDsee is one I use sometimes. Mostly i use PSP and photoshp.

You have windows 98 right.
To basicly repeat what NF said.
Open explorer, to any folder on your hard drive.
At the top it say's tools, between Favorites and help.
From there click the bottom option "Folder Options..."

Then just click classic option like NF said.

It works the same on every version of 98 I've every seen.

Either way, I wasn't sure you got it or not. Lemme know.

It says Tools between Favorites and Help in a web page but if I go from that web page to a folder the Tools option disappears.

Go to a book store and get "Windows for Dummies," or just keep playing around with things and see what you come up with. No offense, but this is really basic stuff here. lol Everything I learned about computers has thus far been from fucking around and tweaking things on my own... Just change things up and see what happens!!! :D
