fairly boring race until the final 10 laps...then great stuff. And the last 2 laps...amazing.

Tough luck for DC though. Sorry he's leaving. Painted his car for nothing.

Only other finish like that to a season i can remember is ADELAIDE ( my home town ) 1986 with PROST , MANSELL a PIQUET all a shot at the championship.

I think this was Massa's year. I dont think he will have a shot at it next year. As far as Glock letting Hamilton go by....i dont think that happened either. The track was getting worse as the rain continued to fall and with Glock staying out on dry tires just got harder to control the car. Im glad to see Hamilton win the title , he really deserved it after all the BS he went through this whole season.

I've got nothing against Hamilton... but I don't think he deserved to win the F1 season... the Ferrari guys really ruined Massa's season... and I think they will not repeat the same mistake and next season Ferrari will rule!!

I agree, motorsport has point-scoring systems to decide championships, NOT medals. Also what about the implications of this proposed system for smaller teams that can't get medals like Force India? Madness, i hope the FIA don't take up the idea at all

Congragulations to Lerwis Hamilton and Timo Glock for getting the title this year.

At the end of the day, this was most stupid championship that i followed, and i really hope that next year Kimi Räikkönen will bounce back.

The points system has worked well enough since F1 started and apart from the slight change in 2003, still works fine, IMO.

I had begun to like Bernie, but sometimes he can be a real twat.

I like the point system but feel that to many drivers get awarded points. 8 drivers out of a field of 22 get points.
Only the top 4 should be awarded points.

I hope it livens up a bit this year. Since I started watching Nascar a few years ago I've found F1 getting dull, just a few cars following each other around the track, no passing or close racing. Australian V8s and the German DTM series give better racing, but I do prefer tourers anyway, as I like side by side and a little bumping. Mind you, that wet Nurburgring race was good fun, especially when so many slid off at the hairpin. Maybe they should soak a few corners during the race, wake up those drivers. :1orglaugh :wave2:

It was fantastic & so refreshing to see a new team & a different driver (even if Button was a former winner) on the top step but the only worry I have is if their diffusers (along with Toyota's & Williams') is declared illegal & they are disqualified from the race (or worse), then it would be a travesty for Formula 1, especially after Brawn's fairytale debut.
