we've had problems for 2 years. a loss to Toronto (again) will just expose it more.

Plus it'd make me laugh.

Toronto is one of the few teams in the league that Tampa should have no problem beating, even if the Lighting are having problems.

ok, i have to question the coaching staff's thinking here. the announcers just said our coaches want more "physical play". they said they called up Todd Fedoruk because "though he won't fight a lot, he uses his 235 pound body well.". now, i'm sorry, but isn't "physical play" the whole reason we signed this monster?

and yet he's been in the AHL this whole season.

1/4 through the season we had 25 points, were on pace for 100, and looked like we were headed for the playoffs. now it looks like we're headed for another top 5 draft pick. great. can't wait for the next time we're in the playoffs...in 10 years

I would love to see more of Fritz in the NHL,unfortunately fighters need to have skills nowadays and Fritz doesn't have much of it.
Fedoruk should retire now that he can't fight anymore and since he doesn't score either.
But Konopka is doing fine.

I think having Konopka and Matt walker is enough.

Tampa Bay 2, Atlanta 1 in a shootout no less

Niittymaki stopped 37 of 38 + 5 shootout attempts

Yeah a shootout win ! Maybe now they will finally win more than 2 in a row. They are 3 points out of 6th in the east.

Earlier today Toronto designated Gustavsson as their number one goalie and the future of goaltending in Toronto.

He responds by letting Florida shut out the Leafs 2-0.

Awesome.

thank God there is a 5 minute time limit for OT in the regular season. When the Bruins and Canes play, it might be a week before someone scores

just a side note, Nitty has never lost to the Thrashers. he's now 15-0-0 against them in his career with a 1.86 GAA. that's impressive.

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
i loved watching Gaborik get pounded the other night. He's a punk...and yes I'm a disgruntled Wild fan.

Shit, well would it surpise you that I have his Wild jersey? :D

Our greedy ass owners let (arguably) the most explosive scorer in the league go because....why? They sell out every fucking game. The owners got so much money they probly got bags of that shit.

I met Gaborik a couple times (and his girlfriend at a club one night; she was not bad at all), and he might have come off a little bit of a prick, but I met worse before.

John Leclair was possibly my favorite player of all time until I met that asshole downtown when the Flyers were. Never felt the same about him again, even though he's the only America in history to have three consecutive 50 goal seasons. :crash:

Wow ! Imagine if he was that good against every team in the NHL :D
