Thunderbolt, are you ready to admit we've lost the south east and will do nothing in the playoffs yet? Tampa suck now.

I admit they suck right now , but remember last season , teams like montreal and philadelphia got into the playoffs while sucking and they did great. The bolts still have 14 games to play , they can still turn it around. I'm not sure if they can still win the south east , but they can do well in the playoffs. If they get Malone and Downie back , I'm sure they can have a good run. Now if they can't catch up to washington , they at least have to finish 4th and they can do it with all the injuries pitsburgh have.

It is okay it would be nice to have one the southeast division but I have been a season ticket holder the last three seasons and they have finished dead last and second to last in the east if they make the postseason it would be awesome I agree with thunderbolt we could beat the Pens with all their injuries

yeah, i know. 3 goals on 19 shots. that's letting a goal in about every 6 shots. he and Ellis (who, aggravatingly enough is now 5-1-1 since going to the Ducks and playing very well) have been around that number all season long.

i've been paying attention to this, and Roli seems to let one in about every 10+ shots which gives us much more of a chance to win. had our offense been scoring more than 1 or 2 goals a game these past 6 games, we'd have lost maybe 1.

At least St. Louis' penalty shot last night agains the Hawks didn't get disallowed, eh?

It should have been disallowed though. I'm all for a spin-o-rama but that was an absolute joke. The guy does a spin and doesn't shoot as he completes the spin. He stops, does one deke and shoots. What a joke.

If the puck has to be in a continuous motion, well in the replay, you clearly see that it completely stops for a moment.

if you want to get technical, most shootout goals should be disallowed. i counted at least 5 instances in last night's Sharks/Rangers shootout where the player stopped the forward momentum of the puck.

they don't disallow them for that reason.

Tampa Bay Lightning organization terminate the contract of prospect Mitch Fadden for:

After several near-miss collisions, police didn't have to stop an alleged dangerous and impaired driver — he was already stopped completely blocking the driving lane on 10th Avenue SE near Highway 97B.

The situation began at 12:57 p.m., when a motorist reported a black BMW-type vehicle had nearly caused a head-on collision with him on 30th Street near 7th Avenue NE. Five minutes later, a second motorist reported a black Audi driving dangerously in the Salmon Arm Industrial Park at speeds of 120 km/h. The driver was also ignoring stop signs and travelling in the wrong lane.

When police located the vehicle on 10th Avenue, the driver got out of the vehicle and was immediately observed to be grossly intoxicated. He was arrested, and once returned to the RCMP detachment, the man refused to provide a breath test and became violent with officers.

The suspect was held in custody and appeared in court March 2.

Mitchell D. Fadden, 22, of Salmon Arm is now facing charges of impaired driving, failing to provide a breath sample, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and obstructing a peace officer. He will be back in Salmon Arm Provincial Court March 15.

good for the Lightning for dealing with this appropriately. just glad he wasn't one of our prospects who showed immediate potential.

Pretty much positive the commish is on record stating something along the lines that the "original six" will never be allowed to move. That sort of stability sets the league apart from other "major" sports' leagues.
