Yep. Got a lucky break on a double clanger from Gomez that hit Callahan, then the right post, rolled across, but not over, the goal line, hit the left post, then back out. Then 1:10 later, Girardi hit the post.

Don't worry about your lighting, atleast not yet, I entered the thread last year and only posted about injuries, rumors, trades, great fights, hits, questionable hits, or something significant that happened within a game..

I will not ever gloat or anything about the REDWINGS when they win a big game or are playing stellar, or poorly, its what the 1st ten games of the year, they are still tweaking and experimenting, I say you can't really gauge a teams destiny or tendancies until atleast 35 - 45 games into the regular season, even mediocre teams can start meshing and be a force in the standings, and eventually make or break there own playoff eligibility or somebody else's!!

I don't know how good or bad of a coach melrose is? didn't he take the LA Kings to the finals? regardless, it seems like lighting fans were going crazy over the summer up until present, thats why the lighting fan base is considered shaky @ best, thats a perfect example of bandwagon fans, thats neither here nor there, I am not accusing you or anybody posting in this thread as bandwagon fans, but fans who jump on and off depending on the teams performances game to game.. lighting fans are wishy washy, depends how the team is playing, fans go crazy, and they also become disenchanted when things are going bad..

I maybe totally mistaken in your opinion, but the season is young, and you can't judge a teams whole season on the 1st dozen or so games, if your teams record is (4 - 14 - 2) twenty games in then thats a bad sign, but if the team is winning 6 out of every 10 games or better, your team has some hope.. just my :2 cents: :thumbsup: :hatsoff:

I've been a lightning fan ever since the Quebec Nordiques disapeared so I've seen worst from tampa . I'm not giving up on them , I know that they have only played four games but so far I'm a bit disapointed that's all . I still believe that they have a good team and will make the playoffs .

they do, but there's usually a song that goes along with it. the Ducks, Flyers and Rangers use Pennywise's - Brohymn, some use Kernkraft 400's - Zombie Nation and many other teams use Rock & Roll Pt.2. TB seems to have some weird new techno song

because he's high evidently. that kid needs to see power play action. Tortorella was a hardass and chased a few good players away, but he would have known how to play Stamkos.

This is the NHL. Rookies have to prove themselves through their work ethic in practice before they can see significant playing time on a scoring line. Maybe he's not doing that yet.

Robbie Schremp STILL hasn't earned a spot with the Oilers despite the fact that he's the greatest shootout artist in the world bar none because his defensive capablities are lacking. Check youtube if you don't know who I'm talking about and search him, he has the most unbelievable shootout skills.

Also, 3-0 BABY!!! Oilers beat the lowly loser Flames 4-3 and are UNDEFEATED!!!! YES!!!!

one more thing that miffs me - David Koci is a Lightning player but they never play him. obviously he's not the best goal scorer, but he is there for one reason: to be a tough, intimidating enforcer. it's the same reason Georges Laraque, Raitis Ivanans, and George Parros are played. why sign him if you're not going to use him? we're playing the Wild tonight and if anybody should be on the ice to counter Derek Boogaard, it should be Koci.

Very true Mauser98k .... but that wont be your only interrogation this season regarding Melrose's decisions i fear. It was a total mystake to hire that coach

I wonder if tonight we (MontreaL) are gonna use Laraque as we play Phoenix and Carcillo is suspended. Laraque have only played 4 shifts last game, he isnt totally recovered from his injury.

The game is about to start so i will know soon enough

Rumors:

We all know that Marian Gaborik doesnt want to stay in Minnesota as he hates Lemaire's defensive system. The main pro scout of the Wild is in Montreal tonight. It makes rumors going about a trade for Marian Gaborik. We could let go Chris Higgins and Ryan McDonough (a future no.1 or no.2 d-men native from Minnesota) along with a 1st round pick for next draft.

Higgins injury shouldnt have prevented him to play tonight but Carbonneau decided to not play him, saying he isnt 100% recovered. Healthy scratch? It would be a first for Higgins since he is in the NHL.

With the Montreal style, a guy like Gaborik could become a top 10 scorer in the NHL in my opinion.

Gaborik will be obviously this season's Marian Hossa.
