apparently there are more rumors in the Montreal area about Lecavalier going to the Canadiens before his no trade clause and his new contract kick in on July 1st. good god, Montreal, get over it. Vinny is staying in Tampa Bay

One thing is for sure , if Tampa decides to trade Vinny , they need to get at least a very good defenceman in the deal and a good young forward and Montreal doesn't have what they are looking for.Sure they have Markov but even for Lecavalier I think Montreal would be stupid to let a great player like him go.The best deal Tampa could get for Lecavalier is waiting to see the draft positions and trade him to a team like the islanders for their first rounder.That's the only kind of trade that would make sense for a player like Vinny.It's obvious that many teams are going to be reluctant to let a great defenceman go even if it's for a great forward.

The only thing I can think of is maybe it gives tampa leverage in dealing with whomever Vinny decides he wants to be traded too? :dunno: but that sounds like what their slowly arranging. it gives the other team the incentive too give up a "primo" pick in the draft and a elite defensemen in the very least, if not more. that would be my best guess.

Either way Tampa wins out, even if they trade Vinny L. they get the D-man. a high draft pick and prolly another 1 or 2 established NHL'ers in the deal. thats allot in return for 1 player. that in itself could very easily change the outlook of a team that needs a couple of pieces to be a consistent team night in and night out. :2 cents::hatsoff:

Nhl.com has three mock-ups of the first round of the draft. Tampa doesn't take a defenceman in any of the three; they take forwards. New York has the first pick, followed by Colorado, then Tampa.

If that is actually what will happen, then I feel sorry for Tampa fans. They do not need another forward.

If I were a betting man I wouldn't have made that bet. but babs did call it @ the morning skate.

the longer a gr8 team lets a bad team stick around in a game. the badteam gets confident and with 8 posts, they got the luck, and some gr8 saves, the Isles deserved to win. :hatsoff: too them.

Needless to say I was pretty pissed, but its still just reg. season, it doesn't decide their fate in the playoffs, so I am sure babs is driving the point of start executing and you better be ready too play april 15 or whatever date the playoffs begin. :2 cents::glugglug::hatsoff:

TSN had a mock draft where we took Hedman (when we were behind Colorado). mock drafts are pretty dumb as only the team knows what they'll do.

Ah playoffs are coming soon! This time of year is better than Christmas...even though my team (Senators) are most likely not going to be in it for the first time in like 11 years.

No other trophey is harder to win than the Stanley Cup. Potentially 28 games of fast paced, hard hitting hockey.

Since nothing else is on I'm watching the Devils @ Rangers game and I just almost pissed myself whe Clarkson was ramming Avery into the ice, absolutely hilarious. Best of all, Avery that little fag got a penalty too...ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! Can't wait for Saturday when those asshole Blueshirts are visiting Boston, I really hope Avery gets another beatdown, just like when he was here with the Stars. And don't believe all the stories you hear and read, because he's an assfucking homo who should be put through the glass every game.
