I have google set to my search bar so it's not a problem

I never cared for the Google bar, and I don't even use the search bar as I can't define it how I want. I only use the advanced search on Google and I've got a link for it on my Bookmarks toolbar.

Honestly, at some point in the future, I figure Google will probably drop all support for plug-in's to Firefox as they see Firefox as competition for Chrome. I hope I'm wrong, but it'll probably happen.

yeah, really. whats the big deal? if you really wanna use their search like EVERYONE else, then make it your start page. i, obviously, will not.

yep, don't use the toolbar either --- and not visible (automatically ) in Opera
