I'm honestly not that surprised. The German government uncovered smuggling activities like that in 2007 (or was it 2006?) and smashed them. The Russian government as well, as far as I know.
The smuggling had to go on from somewhere. And who else than Germany and Russia has this technology and the means to mass produce it: Japan, France, Britain and the US. And probably India.
And if I as a smuggler had to choose among these, I'd take the US, too.

We saw such news in 1970's &1980's it is now quite old fictions. In fact many countries in the World have storage of these destructive weapons.......but some countries are friendly to some big countries so they have shelter of friendship.........
To clear this dangerous epidemic from the World...it needs a clear cut international consensus that every country irrespective of their myth should destroy their nuclear arsenals............Doesn't matter a country is a friend of a super power every one should respect ...the UNO. Here someone can argue...Oh that country has a responsible attitude....but nuclear weapon is a dangerous thing and World should be clear of it and no body should keep it.
However here the UNO is not as much effective and it's rules are only for the small countries and it's resolutions are ineffective if it is against the interest of the big super power/powers.
Infact the veto vote at the UNO is an insult to the other nations in the World. Which means that does not matter whatever the majority of the countries in the international community want...their opinion is useless and is rejected by a single nation.......that is humiliation in this modern age of democracy.....we have to live in a peaceful World not in a nuclear arsenal :hatsoff:
