Obama passed more pro gun legislation in his first 4 years than Bush did in 8, then Sandy Hook happened and America went crazy demanding something be done. When people hire you to do a job it's your job to listen when they start making demands. Nothing ever came of it and we all still have our guns don't we? so stop bitching about shit that never happened. Nobody is taking your guns.

List that legislation please. Show me where he ever tried to be a friend to gun owners, and look at his record as a Senator....he voted against EVERY pro gun vote that came before him, including a castle doctrine. A law that would allow home owners to stand their ground in THEIR OWN HOMES. He voted against that. He may not be taking our guns away...but it's not because he doesn't want to, it's because many other Senators and Congress people won't let him. He's surrounded by anti gun people, and would take them in a second, and make no mistake, he's still trying. If you choose to ignore that fact, that is clearly your choice, and you have the right to trust him, and his people. I choose not to, and will never be complacent when it comes to politicians of his ilk.

No one from the Right will ever acknowledge this though, since using Obama as a boogeyman has been a windfall for gun sales and the NRA. Secretly he's probably every informed NRA member and gun dealer's favorite person on the planet these days. Mega was pretty fun to spar with. What happened to him? He did seem to have a temper but I am not gonna fault him for that. I was always surprised after a heated exchange for a few hours straight he would give me positive rep like he appreciated someone that could have the stamina to hang in arguing with him. He also liked to use "ergo" which after a professor went on a 1 hour rant about people that used it too much I basically eliminated that from my vocabulary. But he was ok.

I went into a gun store and mentioned to the clerk there that, "Barack Obama's face sells guns like Uncle Ben's does rice." He agreed. The store was full with people standing shoulder to shoulder. Whatever the reality was the people believed their rights were or about to be restricted. Gun and Ammunition companies must have made a ton of money since the 2008 Elections. Smith & Wesson should send Obama a Christmas Card in place of the message they never needed to send.

Here's an example. I was waiting for some take-out food sitting at the bar watching ESPN. I can overhear this loud White lady that also mentioned she was a lawyer say, "I'm not prejudiced! I voted for Barack Obama!" I think she felt she atoned for her supposed sins with her vote. Who does this lady confess to for her lawyer shenanigans?

I think a certain amount of White people voted for Obama to somehow prove that they weren't racist. Who made them believe they were in the first place though? Shame they didn't have more care or concern for their familes.
