I think Barack Obama is doing a fine job in the 44 days since his inauguration. Bully! :glugglug:

uh, what?
the rest of "the free world" (however you define that) certainly didn't vote for him, and i really bloody hate the bootlicking attitude a lot of people in other countries have towards the US. i am all for cooperation, but the US president is in no way a superior to or representative of my chancellor (idiotic though she may be) or any other world leader.ou don;t get arrested for ebing named muhammad.

I actually like the bootlicking attitude. It's just for the past 8 years we've been the BIGGIST JOKE IN THE UNIVERSE because of GWB that it feels SO REFRESHING to have a President in the Office who actually has a brain and can articulate complete sentences.

Barack Obama has legit ROCK STAR appeal and it's so damn refreshing to experience this rather than complete embarrassment like we've had for 8 years...

The biggest problem is that none of his critics are giving him the light of day. They either want him to be just like the failed President we just had, or a perfect being who never makes a mistake and can turn the economy around in matter of days. He's in office not even a month and people are calling for his head and slamming his every move. I think there's a serious case of double standard here. Were those people that hard on W during his first month as President or were they drinking his kool-aid like rest of Republicans?

lots of variety here in montreal... in germany it's mostly vanilla, but here we have chocolate too, and every flavour in between :)

I wanna go to Germany then.... GGG, man!!! woooooo!

on another note, Im tired of hearing about this "savior" as well.
but America is sooo in the shitter right now, I guarantee this was well thought out ahead of time, to give the lower class americans some sort of hope, (a 'minority' in power, wooohooo!, "he'll show 'em!")

He happens to be the front man, who happens to be black this time around (not by his doing or hard work(lol) mind you, but by being allowed to by higher powers, I assure you).

Americans MUST consider what is happening behind the scenes. Right now, as well as always, but NOW especially.

the media's having a great time with it, as Im sure in morning meetings nationwide they are being told to (aid in) instilling a false hope with this puppet.
but those in the know, are merely biding time for the coming disaster, and hopefully preparing.

I think half of the Republican constituency is embarrassed that the nation went into the Depression under after having lived under 8 years of fiscally-conservative ideology--tax breaks, roaring Wall St., loose gov't regulation, war mongering...etc. This half of Republicans is venting as a defense mechanism. They never thought they'd be proven so wrong on so many fronts that stubbornness and "liberal rage" have become defense mechanisms.

The other half are all the "new found" Libertarians who somehow think they've "found Jesus" in Ron Paul...nevermind that he's a medical doctor who knows nothing about economics or security or anything other than how to extract pork projects for his little Texas hometown....:dunno:

We're heading for a Supreme Democratic Majority because the Republicans in Washington (the ones that remain) are too dumb and they think that by opposing solutions for the problems that they created, that opposition in light of "change" means reelection? Will all these Republicans be campaigning as "change agents" in 2010 when the economy is back on track?

i know what you mean :) he knows how to speak his own language! OMG! :nanner: bush's sheer stupidity was funny at first, but then it just became embarrassing.

and i want to make one thing clear here: i am NOT bashing/praising obama here, i am simply saying that the media and people in general should focus on what he is doing in his job, and not on what he looks like or how many orgasms the self declared emperor of blackness, al sharpton, has had over this.

give him a chance, yes; blind adulation, no.

Like I already made clear in my first post (or at least I think I did), I agree with that...

I kept up the Hope that Nobama would drop out after the Jeremaiah Wright/William Ayers/Birth Certificate/or any time his hag of a wife opened her mouth scandal. At least Gary Hart had the common sense to withdraw his nomination when the Donna Rice/"Monkey Business" scandal broke. And in the long run, I think Hart's infidelity is less serious than the allegations facing Obama and his lack of qualifications. Granted, the alternative was John McCain but I have the feeling we'll only have Obama for one term, God willing. As far as his charisma, I just don't see it or hear it when he speaks. I haven't heard a word come out of his mouth that I find believable, either.

There is a simple solution for Obamania ...

There is a simple solution for Obamania ... ignore it.

Let those who want to trumpet it, never let it end, view him as incapable of doing wrong, etc... do their thing, and ignore them.

For some people it's as difficult to do as ignoring screaming children, but I don't have a problem with it because I do exactly such for screaming children as well. ;)

Republican ideology was not behind giving working poor families (Democrat voters) six figure mortgages. I'm sorry. Our problems were not Republican in the making and regulations to reign in Fannie and Freddie were blocked by Democrats (including Obama, because he didn't have the balls to vote on them) every single time. I think it was 17 times the Bush administration requested regulations. And those regulations did have a majority vote to pass but cloture couldn't get reached because of Democrats.

The Chinese (with Russia) are calling for a global basket of currency. Why? They understand Obama's deficits are going to spark inflation. They're willing to cut some losses in their investment in US debt because it's more preferable to getting those freshly printed dollars.

The honeymoon is over and Obama will in my opinion be a one term president just like Jimmy Carter. Hell, he's already less popular than Bush was at this stage in his presidency, and it's because of his spending and that never "let a good crisis go to waste" far left ideology.

Obama and Bush are the same; they're both bankrupting the USA and future generations for today's political gain.
