Obama's deficit projections

Congressional budget forecasters said President Barack Obama's spending blueprint would produce significantly deeper long-run deficits than the White House has projected, complicating the task of enacting his ambitious domestic agenda.

The Congressional Budget Office on Friday said that, if the Obama budget unveiled last month were approved, the federal government would run deficits averaging nearly $1 trillion a year over the next decade.

More at the website.

Just as an FYI 1 trillion is 1 million x 1 million or 1,000,000,000,000.

If you spent a million a day it would take you 2,739 years to spend it.

I'm too lazy to set a usertitle.
We can start to turn this around by removing our footprint from the Middle East. Here is proof that we can not afford these middle east occupations anymore....

Legzman

what the fuck you lookin at?
Obama's spending is out of control! Bush fucked the country up in his way. I guess throwing money around is Obama's way of further fucking us? :dunno:

Lets remember that this is 3x's what Bush actually spent in FY09. There is a good Chance that obama will spend more than projected.

I changed my middle-name to Freeones
Obama tripled the deficit in nine months and this socialist has no plans of stopping.

No stoppage in sight... as a matter of fact, new programs for spending are in the pipeline, healthcare being only one.

Pretty soon, the dollar is going to be worth a peso.

That's optimistic thinking, we will be lucky if it's worth that much.

He tripled what Bush spent in FY09 what I was saying is that Obama will more then likely out spend his projections for FY10.

Pussy, pussy, where are you?
It's brilliant logic:

We're going to be spending more.

Later, we're going to be spending even more, but thanks to inflation, it will be less than it really is.

A little further on, we'll be spending a whole lot more that will be worth a whole lot less, but by that time we'll be spending a lot of nothing anyway, so don't worry about it!

It's everybody else's fault....now let's have another photo-op.

And a fly over demonstration with Airforce 1, and then say after the Obama Care bill that we will begin to tackle the "Climate Crisis". But wait I will go on another vacation to another foreign country so I can get my cock sucked by another world leader who has no idea what I stand for but I'm not GWB so it's all good.

Can we get a president who cares about We The People? I am sick of the last 3 they are all a bunch of blow-hards with only themselves in mind.

My God man! What's with you...you'd think you've never been part of a cult! You're not supposed to think on your own....they'll think for you. Now quickly, look happy and say "change"...or else. ;)

Well the promiss to get health care bill passed this year is looking more and more unlikely. Climate bill, maybe these people should practice what they preach, Look at Al Gore's usage
http://www.businessweek.com/innovate/NussbaumOnDesign/archives/2007/02/gores_carbon_fo.html now this is from 2006
The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average.

Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh—guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year. As a result of his energy consumption, Gore’s average monthly electric bill topped $1,359.

Since the release of An Inconvenient Truth, Gore’s energy consumption has increased from an average of 16,200 kWh per month in 2005, to 18,400 kWh per month in 2006.

Gore’s extravagant energy use does not stop at his electric bill. Natural gas bills for Gore’s mansion and guest house averaged $1,080 per month last year.

That's hilarious and sad at the same time Jason. It's guys like him that don't practice what they preach. What ever happened to "Leading by Example"? Al Gore is the epitome of what is wrong with "celebrity" endorsements. How often do you suppose he takes his hybrid car to speak at a major "global warming" conference?

By the way I heard it's "Global Climate Change" now because the earth is warming and cooling. Another made up theory by someone who just does not understand anything about science. When did Al Gore become such an advocate for green products? Ohh maybe because he has invested all kinds of money in them, does this sound similar to GWB's supposed situation with his Oil investments?

If this was a republican that was talking about sex reform they would make all this public all over the news. But we can't touch Al Gore he is trying to fix the planet. Hypocrisy on both sides is running throughout Washington.

Mr Dean

Freeones is so HOT I want to have sex with it!
I'm an Aussie - so I can't really comment on the U.S. situation, but we have a Prime Minister who is from the left side of politics and he seems to be on a spend-a-thon. Our opposition leader refers to it as a 'Paris Hilton shopping spree'.

It always seems that the socialist leaning governments are prone to be fast and loose with the credit card. Conservative governments are usually the ones to come in and be nasty and get the debt paid off just in time to be chucked out of office and the cycle repeats. The U.K. is in deep financial grief too after 12 years of a socialist government.

Left-wing politicians have their uses - they often are the driving force for long needed changes, but as economic managers they're usually crap.

A very sad truth, give me a president that actually fights for the people Dem or Rep instead of just his own agenda and his own fame and he or she would have my vote!

obama wasn't a good money manager even when he was a senator of illinois.

That hasn't generally been the case here. At least not since WWII. We went from the world's largest creditor nation to the worlds largest debtor nation under Ronald Reagan. That debt escalated under Bush I, was reduced under Clinton, then accelerated again under Bush II and Obama.

OK, I didn't know that.:o

Another example often used is the Scandinavian countries that have very generous social welfare programs and until recently at least, were financially stable. Of course, oil revenue was a big factor and they also seem to have a hard working population not prone to just living off benefits because they're available.

Rudd is akin to Gordon Brown in the UK, Obama in the US, and Paul Martin in Canada: idiotic and too childish to decently rule a first-rate country.

I wish Johnny Howard was back...
