Why do Obama advisors have the tittle of "czars" and everyone is ok with that?

The extent of the stimulus package, the green jobs initiative, the bailout of Chrysler (controlled by a hedge fund mind you) and the downplay of the U.S. traditional alliances in favor of using the UN points to Socialism. It's simple.

What the Republicans have done is made the label a farce by juxtaposing the appropriate label of socialist with the bogeyman. So when people do say Obama's a socialist an Obama supporter just has to say "I bet you're a birther too."

Republicans have screwed themselves, and Libertarians, out of an appropriate comparison. Obama is a socialist, that's true. But Republicans have robbed the word of its power with their ridiculous antics.

They don't have the title "czar". The title "czar" does not exist anywhere in the United States government. It's a term applied by the press and picked up by the neocons and bible thumpers on the right. Czar has no more (deep, political) meaning in the case of Obama than "kaiser" would have had in the case of Bush's advisors.

Would like to know the link to that info just like I have been providing links and given credit to the person's article. Well tell that to Gibs everytime they release a press release and everytime the media refers to those close to the president. So I am taking since you did not say anything about Van Jones beign an unoficial "czar" and you having a problem with that? But of course everyone in the far left can say what they want to say not held responsible for it, get hired for a better job and when things get rough just say that it was a campaign of smear!

Don't get hung up on the word Czar,it's been used in the govt for decades,a slang word used for man in charge of a specific area.The drug Czar,the energy Czar etc.And while you didn't come right out and say it it was a sign of Obama's socialist (communist) tendencies in your mind I will remind you the Czar was what was overthrown by communism.Not just overthrown but the whole family wiped out.Sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures.A royal family that ruled with an iron fist won't be agitating and causing trouble in exile if their all dead.:eek::thumbsup

Is it not the origin of the word Ceasar when the Roman empire broke into the eastern bloc. But we go again to my claim, for someone who was hailed by the media to be a "new type of politician, unlike seen before", all this "hope and change" that people fell for and this "transparency" goes away because people before him did it so can he?

Czars is a bad word period. They should be refered as "presidential advisors" and their function should be clear and put in paper for everyone that wants to know.

Socialism is an ECONOMIC theory so YES he is a Socialist. Also now he wants to bailout the newspapers why? maybe we should bail out the pony express, morse code, telegraph and horse drawen buggies. These things fail to exist for a reason it cal innovation something that is fostered in a competive market, unlike the goverment ownership otherwise know as monopolies.

That video is rehashing a spurious argument. Then again, he probably deserves points for reminding non-liberals that we enjoy the benefit of essential services that the government has a monopoly on. Also, you don't have to be a "conservative" to fear the rise of socialism (and the social engineering that goes along with it) in the U.S.
