I need someone who is ocd when it comes to keeping a place clean.

My question is how do you guys keep your cable neat and clean around the computer? I have roughly 5 cables I need to organize better.

Would take a bullet for Freeones
With a lack of cable ties i would usually unplug everything and plug it back in so it isn't a mess and then try to group the wires together and leave it like that... When it comes to cables im not so OCD when it comes to literally cleaning a room or organising books thats when i get really OCD.

I would say just get a few cable ties, make sure the wires aren't already a mess and tie them up, they aren't expensive and you usually can get them in large quantities, or you could always buy the rubber/plastic tubes to go around wiring.

I think I'll try the cable ties, unless someone has a better idea.

The plastic/rubber tubes are ugly as hell in my opinion.

I just use black electrical tape, only I put a strip of paper the size of the tape down first so that the tape doesn't really stick to the cords, it just holds them in together.

Creepy, we have the same amount of rep. I still can't rep you either. I think there's a curse on you.

Everything wireless...speakers, keyboard, mouse and printer.

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
Organized wires for ANYTHING, are mandatory for me. It drives me nutty, knowing they're entangled and knotted. I use zip ties, or twist ties. Elec. tape works...the paper is a god idea. If it's permanent, duct tape. Always leave a little more slack then you need, and set them up, in a logical order.Like your speakers, or mouse on top, monitor, or printer on the bottom. You will most likely move your mouse or speakers, before your monitor or printer, so they need to be easily moved without tangling.

I've just learned that wires invariably turn into tangled spaghetti...because I move stuff around allot I've just resorted to spending the ransom for everything wireless.
